Why would the Browns trade up to take Trent? It's not like the Vikings were going to take him. For a team with a lot of holes, that was a really stupid deal.

They got feared into it.
The Vikes were telling them the Bucs were gonna jump them, forcing the Browns to make the trade.

Only logical explanation I've gotten is that Tampa was talking to Minnesota about swapping an grabbing Richardson. Cleveland wanted to make sure that didn't happen.

Deltaland, your description of Luck sounds like Blaine Gabbert. Gabbert had no business starting as a rookie, he needed another year or 2 working with an experienced qb first. I think Luck needs a year too.
