If Bo doesn't improve his decision- making and one of our RE Freshmen clicks , I won't be surprised if he loses his job at some point before or during the season.

What are the chances Saban does a two QB system?
He did it in 2004 with LSU and to start 2011.

quote:As an LSU fan, I watched alot of his HS film because we were recruiting him heavily, and I also watched the entire UGA game. I must say I came away very impressed. I could definitely see him being another Tyler Bray, maybe even better. Granted I probably picked his best game to be the only UT game I've watched, but I still think he has alot of the physical tools and just needs to put it together mentally and get used to things. Felt like that most of last year with Mett, and its paid off huge this year
Unlike most Vol fans, I have some optimisim in regards to our current QB. Worley has progressed nicely since the first game, at the very least he's clearly becoming more comfortable in Butch's HUNH offense.

Yeah but that was much more due to the fact that our starter was incompetent.

Blake Sims is the front runner at Bama.. I seriously doubt anyone beats him out..
Blake is a very talented player who a lot of Bama fans hate to recognize because... y'know... he's (whispers)Bl... er.. urban or should I just say dual threat. He will cause DCs fits..
Bama will change up its style some to suit his talents.. more sprint outs and boots.. Blake throws very well on the run and is an elusive player. This to go along with ridiculous talent in the backfield at WR TE and HBack.. also returning 4OL with starting exp. Bama will not be fun to defend next season
That is seriously some stupid shite. yeah..it's because he's black....

Bateman is just too good of a passer to keep off the field. He's going to be a good one.
Practice reports haven't been very positive on Bateman. He really struggles with accuracy.

interesting

So out the possible QB's vying for the job....what percentage would you give each guy?
Sims - 40%
Bateman - 15%
Morris - 30%
McLeod - 10%
Del Rio- 0%
Cornwell - 5%

Tyler Murphy seems the best of this list already....so seems the obvious choice right now.

Who are you quoting? I think Mason starts, but he will serve as a game manager next year. I see UGA featuring the running game more next year. We will have Gurley, Marshall, Green, Douglas and we adding two 5 star studs at HB.

I don't forsee much of a drop-off after Murray leaves.
Yes and Brantley tore it up in mop up duty when Tebow was starting. Spring games too.

You will want to learn the name Barker.

I think the starter will be either Morris or Bateman. Sims is serviceable as a change of pace or in mop up duty but no way in hell Saban starts someone who struggles completing the forward pass.

Mason could easily be DJ Shockley or could easily be Joe Cox for all I know. But I will say that given our QB development in the Richt era that I'm comfortable with a 5th year senior taking over. Plus, he'll have a stable of RBs (all return), a stable of WRs (lose only Wooten and McGowan...neither if which would be getting much PT this year if not for injuries), and a D that returns 10 starters. Joe Cox didn't have those built in advantages.

What's stupid is Bama fans who keep trying to act like Saban doesn't have a clue...
1. Blake Sime was a "converted" QB to RB he came here and started off with the QBs and played QB NOT RB in HS..
2. Saban said that Blake was the CLEAR #2 and nobody was close.
3. Blake has gotten ALL of the #2 snaps... after beating out Ely for the job last season
4. NONE of the backups have even come close to beating out Blake but some bammers are convinced that they will all of a sudden shoot past him and win the job.

Sims just completed 14-18 for 130 and a TD... yes it was VS Ga State.. but if those were Morris or Bateman's #s most of the bammers would be salivating...

And it'll likely be Jalen Whitlow (current starting QB) and high 4* true freshman Drew Barker battling for the spot. Maxwell Smith will be back, but it's all going to depend on whether he bites the bullet and gets shoulder surgery in the meantime.

Regardless of your valiant stance on behalf of Sims. He will not be your starter next year. Just my opinion though.

LOL all the FACTS rest with me... but your fact stated opinion does what? I'm confused. I don't know what to feel now..
So you really think Saban will start a player who has never taken a snap period... over someone he's actually playing and saying is the #2?
But hey your opinion is rock solid tho...
Your valiant stance duly noted.

Just an opinion from an anonymous poster that disagrees with you, regardless of stats you share here. You need not be confused, and you may feel as you wish. Are you looking for direction on this?

Since you are so very rustled over MY opinion, what do you think?
