Am I the only one here that thinks Franks is overrated?

No, you and all the other LSU fans that, "didn't want him anyway."

So it's just LSU fans? Genuinely curious.

Fwiw, I wanted him and was bummed when he flipped. But he just doesn't strike me as living up to his billing.

Ftr, I generally don't bad mouth a QB whose last game against LSU was a W.

Ignoring silly made up metrics like in the OP, I don't think anyoen IRL rates him high enough to be considered overrated. Until last year he was widely considered a bum and did show some improvement last year but I don't think any non-UF fans look at him anythign more htan a regular, average, ok SEC QB.

He is afraid of the backlash when he ranks Tommy Touchdown over Tua.

Thanks for the input.

Is that Tchoup guy some hardcore FL fan or something?

He was responsible for about 2800 yards (including his 350 yards rushing) last year. Not overwhelming but not shabby either. It is probably important to note that his TD to INT ratio was 4 to 1 and he averaged 2 passing TD’s a game. He added 7 more TD’s rushing on the season.

still like Burrow as a sleeper heisman candidate, if LSU wins 11 he’ll be in New York
I don't know if you're trolling, but if you're serious:

It actually wouldn't be that shocking to see Burrow in that scenario. He still wouldn't win, but he checks a lot of boxes...
1) He's "known". ESPN discussed him a lot last year when he transferred, so the name recognition is out there now.
2) LSU should have a big year. Most of a 10-3 team returns, and the schedule is very favorable- Texas is a 'name' team that we should beat, and all the tough games aside from Alabama are at home.
Teams like that, nowadays, get Heisman recognition, even if there's no real Heisman-worthy player on the roster. Look at Alabama with Mark Ingram- dude was good but not insanely so; but they just HAD to find someone to tout.
3) while most of LSU's team does return, Burrow is the only major skill player to do so. Gonna start a different RB, and most likely the WRs will shuffle.

And objectively Burrow is due to have lot better numbers. He probably had 5 wide-open drops a game last year, I don't expect that to happen again. Combine that with more familiarity with the players around him, and a better RB behind him, and he should look pretty darn good.

I can agree with this, at least until that glass jaw breaks again.

I would be shocked, and it has NOTHING to do with how good he is or the quality of his play, I just don't think he's going to provide the numbers that the heisman seems to take. Last year he threw for under 60%, a solid yardage at ~2800, but only 16/5 ratio. That is going to need to go WAY up to be in contention, especially if they lose to alabama again.

Look at Fromm as an example. Last year Jake threw for 67%, almost 2800 yards, and a 30/6 ratio. His numbers were objectively much, MUCH better htan burrow's, and UGA had a better regular season than LSU. Yet Fromm didn't even so much as SNIFF a heisman vote. Wasn't even one of the 10 finalists.

My point is, if burrow "gets to new york" as a finalist, he is going to have to absolutely obliterate his previous season highs across the board as well as beat alabama.

When you say you think someone is overrated, yes, it's bad mouthing him. I generally don't call QBs who beat LSU, "overrated", it makes LSU look bad, for one thing, it's poor sportsmanship for another.

What the frick is wrong with you, are you just another whiny loser?

I'm sure franks reads this board and is going to take personal offense to this lack of good sportsmanship.

You're not factoring in the Mullen component.

Ranked 10th out of 14 SEC QB's in passing yards, per ESPN. Completion rate of 58%,

Agreed.

But most of the meh on that list wasn't hyped like Franks coming out of HS. That's my only point.
