How I see the SEC on October 2nd.
1. Alabama: hitting their stride now; Bryce needs to return by Tennessee game though.
2. Tennessee: Offense might be SEC’s best.
3. Ole Miss: Much better defensively than anyone had anticipated.
4. Georgia: Trending down. Peaked against Oregon. Not the nation’s #1 team.
5. Mississippi State: How ‘bout them Dawgs!?!
6. Kentucky: Not explosive enough offensively to challenge the top teams.
7. LSU: Still have question marks offensively, but gaining confidence.
8. Arkansas: Not as good as last year on offense; defense gives up too many explosive plays.
9. Florida: Need to see more from Gators.
10.-14.: Auburn, Missouri, South Carolina, Texas A&M, and Vanderbilt: All teams with significant deficiencies; however, Missouri should have beaten Auburn and Georgia the last two weekends.

And Aggy beat Arkansas. And Aggy beat Bama last year. That’s not how rankings work all the time.

I still like State better overall, so far. LSU could move way up though over the coming week. Stay tuned.

You like state cause they just beat a bad A&M team?

We pushed them around. Wore them out.

Beating A$M should be looked at the same as beating auburn this year. It’s nothing special

Wore out yes. But y’all were losing for 3 quarters. It wasn’t some 60 minute domination

When there is no real reason to have MSU above LSU that's how it's supposed to work. Who has MSU played up to this point to earn #5?

Rebuilding year, after losing 15 players to the NFL, one of his best coaching jobs…I’ve heard this somewhere.

Yes, it was. Y’all did a good job of capitalizing on our errors. However, I’m not saying that LSU isn’t better. It’s still a long season till we see how everything shakes out. I’m just saying that the logic of “oh well we beat that team” doesn’t always work when determining the better team overall. LSU was the better team that night. But I’d argue if it was in Starkville, State wins.

A team ranked higher than anyone on LSU’s schedule to date, whether fool’s gold or not.

LSU, MSU, UK... All in tier 2 together right now in no particular order. Actually, I'd put UK in front.

This is the truth and arguing order is kind of irrelevant.

MSU being two spots ahead of a team they lost to by multiple scores because they beat an aTm team that was overrated?

Makes sense.

Did you watch the game?

Props to the Rebs on the win but it was UK gifting them the game. Neutral site and UK is the better team.

That stadium looks like a high school one and dawgs may have believed it was a non conference game and were not taking it seriously.

They aren’t my rankings. I wouldn’t have two team gap. As a previous poster said though, MSU, LSU, and UK are basically interchangeable at this point in the season.

2. Tennessee:

No. Right now I can't trust our shitty defense to stop anyone. I'd put us at 4th, maybe 3rd if we can figure out how to play even mediocre defense.

Offense might be SEC’s best

Probably is the best, but our defense is among the worst.

Eh, easy to scheme against GA right now without our top WR’s as deep threats.

They are starting to work their way back in next week.

Talk to me after Auburn and if it’s 26-22 then I will believe your poll re: GA
