I played on the same basketball team as former Auburn walkon OL Ryan Preston and against current(well he's off the team for now) Vandy DL Jared Morse.

Preston was stout growing up, I'm surprised he maxed out at 6-1. Morse is amazing, dude really worked his arse off to get a D1 offer.

Wasn't he unreal in high school?

From what I remember, he only started one year for Brookwood, but had such a good senior season that he started getting a lot of D-1 and BCS offers.

He scored his team's only touchdown, a 70+ yard run, in Brookwood's opening game in the Georgia Dome, and we had a pretty damn good defense that year.

I could be wrong but I remember being excited getting him because he set a lot of Georgia high school state records. That can't be right though if he only started 1 year.

No, you're right. His senior year alone was record-breaking and put him on the recruiting map. Got this from his South Carolina profile...

quote:

HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Brookwood High School in Snellville, Ga. in 2008... rushed for more than 2,400 yards during his senior season.... garnered first-team all-state and all-area honors during his senior season...

Jeremy Witten? I didn't think about it until you mentioned it but technically me and his sister played him and some of his buddies in pick up games from time to time if that counts.
