Unnecessary Roughness would be the call even back then.

This is incorrect. It is only against the rules if it's intent is a disconcerting signal.

No player shall use words or signals that disconcert opponents when they are preparing to put the ball in play.

For some reason the "penalty details" you quoted are not in the link you provided.

If there were unnecessary roughness, sure. There wasn’t. The ball was live and Murray got his bell rang running toward the play.

Ball needs to have a chip in it to track if it crosses the goal line. I'm sure they could sync it to video.

He’s probably talking about the 2012 SECCG where that dipshit got decleated after he threw an INT because he hasn’t paying attention… because he was a dumbass.

Completely clean and legal hit.

It was maybe a penalty then and almost certainly a penalty today. It was ultimately inconsequential. Not like it knocked Murray out...he played well enough to win but Alabama made a few more plays.

The league finally got the opportunity to nuke the guy they wanted while making themselves look "no nonsense".

It's not a satire or Bee/Onion type site if that is the question.

I wouldn't call them particuarly good and they will definitely run stories that are less than verified or are incredibly biased, but they are at least a "real" news site. Another source for this would be preferable though for sure.

No idea. If you do searches on fake news sites, you can find them sharing numerous fake avenues.

These guys actually advertise their credentials and companies - politics reps, venture capitalists, media something something - retired from and name of the media company.

Only reports I've seen are referencing the YH site.

if they're brand new in 2025, they need to earn their public trust

on fake news sites, if you Google the so-called "founders" and "leaders", you find nothing. They're made up.

i'd google these dudes and check them out if I were you

The fact that this whole crew has been iced tells you there were many more frick ups from them before hand. This was the last straw
When they say "the whole crew" does that include the a-hole in Birmingham doing replay?

They've been around since 2011.

quote:

It was founded in 2011 by Alabama native Cliff Sims,[2] who left in January 2017 to work in President Donald Trump's administration as assistant communications director for White House messaging, as well as a special assistant to Trump himself.[3][4] (Sims left that job after 17 months and wrote the memoir Team of Vipers about the experience.) When he left Yellowhammer, Sims sold the company to Tim Howe[5] and John Ross, both former directors of the Alabama Republican Party.[6]

In 2023, Alabama political affairs consultant Paul Shashy and businessman Thomas Harris acquired Yellowhammer News and its related media affiliates from Howe and Ross. These affiliates include YHN Radio Network, 256 Today News, and Soul Grown.
