Kills me when I read this crap.
SEC share of teams before the tournament started: 14/68 = 0.206
SEC share now: 7/16 = 0.438.
Yup, they are indeed underperforming.

I do think it hurts the sport to not have more mid majors with a chance instead of teams with losing conference records. Just makes it more fun with the chance for other teams to be involved.
But that losing conference record is almost entirely due to the quality of the league, so it's not like they didn't deserve the bid.

Who’s saying overrated? Setting a record 7 teams in the S16 kinda puts a stop to that assertion.

The narrative has changed to it being nothing impressive since the SEC got so many teams in. Never mind everyone was saying the SEC would flame out in the first weekend.

All the eastern media smart guys and left coasters convinced of their superiority are in shock. What is left is the SEC, BIG, BIG 12 and Duke. They will be all in on Duke.
