Name some other bad calls that costed you the game.
those calls didnt cost them the game anymore than Webster cost us the game. He was given an int he shouldnt have that killed a td drive(possibly) PP was denied an int that would have given the ball back to LSu but no guarantee yall score. You werent moving the ball and didnt on the last drive yall had either.

He didn't get injured on that play. He got injured on the play when Javy and Kareem tackled him.

We should start a new thread for the LSU/BAMA game

Well before this thread was derailed....since there's only been one other sighting of an SEC Official Team in a Bowl game, I guess the NCAA saw what the SEC was doing too and rewarded them justly....as in limited bowl games.

IMO.... this crap has to stop if the SEC is to continue to own college football, which is basically does right now.
The TV revenue even makes Vanderbilt a more profitable program than Notre Dame, but years like this will end up costing the conference.
The partiality that has occurred not only for Auburn but for Bama as well these last 5 years
was a total joke.
Then again, LSU got calls we had no business getting either over the last 5-10 years.
It was predetermined that Bama and UF were going undefeated. The joke that was the UF- Arkansas game, and the calls that were called (and were not called, like no holding calls on Alabama just about the entire last half of the season) really is a black eye for the SEC.
I'm really all for taking all the conference refs and nationaizing them. ACC, Big 12 refs available for big SEC games, and so on. It's a no brainer. Hell half the refs in the Big 12 are closer to Baton Rouge than the SEC refs are.
And why could'nt the best ACC group handle a game like Bama and UF? Chances are they're better refs. I know for a fact the Big 12 refs are.
With all the money the SEC has, I have no clue why the officials, and the replay guys, can't be better.

I disagree with this but...
I have no problem with nationalizing refs instead of each conference being responsible but i dont think they make enough money to travel that far and many may not want to. I would assume most want to stay regional. I do like the idea because whether mistakes are innocent or not it would at least negate the perception of favoritism and maybe they could be held to a higher standard as well.

Not all all. Check out the SEC- TV agreements with CBS and ESPN, and get back to me. Every SEC school makes more money than ND does.

SEC contract is over 15 years and is split 12 ways.
Notre Dame shares nothing and their minimum yearly income:
9m NBC
6m Adidas
4.5m BCS (whether they play or not)
That doesn't take into account ND is perennially in the top 3 in merchandise sales and other licensing agreements. Vandy doesn't make the Top 75.
Now, you do the math and show everyone how Vandy earns well over $20m year.....
ETA: 2007 Forbes: ND Profit = $45.8 million

It's going to eventually ruin the perception of the SEC. Right now SEC is the top of college football, if incompetent or corrupt officating continues, it will damage the reputation of the SEC and when there are many teams hoping for a NC bid, the SEC will be bypassed because of the perceived notion of corrupt officating. Slive doing nothing about it doesn't help matters either. Does any other conference have the same problems with officating?

Pac 10 but may have corrected it. I think it was the Oregon/OK game a few yrs ago. Big 12 I think has the best.

At least the pac 10 corrected it after one bad game.
