ESPN LINK
#1 Southern California - Alabama, Utah State, and Notre Dame
#2 Oklahoma - Houston, LA - Monroe, and Ohio State
#3 Free Shoes - Ole Miss, Charleston Southern, South Florida, and Florida
#4 Virginia Tech - Liberty, Tennessee, East Carolina, and Notre Dame
#5 Pittsburgh - Villanova, Penn State, Oklahoma State, and Marshall
#6 Duke - NC Central, Northwestern, Notre Dame, and Army
#7 UCLA - Texas A&M, UNLV, and BYU
#8 Stanford - Kansas State, Notre Dame, and Rice
#9 Michigan State - Furman, Notre Dame, and BYU
#10 Colorado - Colorado State, Idaho State, and Michigan
PAC 40% = #1, #7, #8, and #10
ACC 40% = #3, #4, #5, and #6
B12 10% = #2
B1G 10% = #9
So playing SEC schools / Notre Dame puts you in the Top 10 yet no SEC school or Notre Dame has the toughest schedule? Seems legit!
4 ACC schools on the list but Taters are not in he list, even tho they play 2 SEC schools in 2016. I guess being the Runner Up in 2015 don't mean squat if you are a Tater. Oklahoma at #2 and Taters not in Top 10.
FWIW, here is Notre Dames 2016 schedule but ESPN thinks it is not worthy (no FCS)
@ Texas
Nevada
Michigan State
Duke
@ Syracuse
@ North Carolina State
Stanford
Miami
vs Navy EverBank Field • Jacksonville, FL
vs Army Alamodome • San Antonio, TX
Virginia Tech
@ Southern Cal

Non-conference schedule toughness is the ESPN story. If they go by overall toughest, I think you would see a lot of SEC schools listed. Since ND is technically not in a conference, they weren't rated.

Final Sagarin Ratings
According to Sagarin every team in the West had a schedule that ranked in the top 25 toughest in the country, including 4 of the top 10.
1. Alabama
4. Auburn
5. LSU
6. Arkansas
16. Ole Miss
24. MSU
25. A&M
So not having a difficult enough schedule isn't really something any team in the West should worry about.

Your statement indicates you don't have a grasp of how the formula works.
I'm not saying that to belittle you, I'm just pointing out a simple fact.

You should try reading comprehension. The article says non conference schedule so SEC schools playing SEC schools will not count towards that. In fact since the SEC is the toughest conference and they can't schedule each other in non conference it makes sense that they are not on the list.

That's a whole lot of words to use in a post when you don't seem to understand them.

Notre Dame playing Army and Navy is pretty close to FCS. Nothing against those schools, but these kids are not recruited for their D1 football skills.

OP is dumb. Learn to read; then learn to comprehend.

You should be banned and never allowed to post again .
They are recruited to play football and serve their country .
Reason #1 you should never be allowed to post again, is the pure stupidity saying Navy is pretty close to FCS . Okay, so you watched zero college football last year.

Can you say "tater" one more time? It's hella funny

I am not anti-service academy, so relax.
Navy had a good run this year, there are several FCS schools that put together teams that could tear up FBS schedules.
Navy has had some good seasons lately, but they are not going against P5 every week.
All the group of 5 are pretty close to FCS level. Some should return to that level. Army would benefit from going to FCS, they have had 2 winning seasons in 20 years.
They are recruited to serve their country and also play football. These men do not plan on going to the NFL after 4 years.

The teams are ordered by their Sagarin rating; but there's a Schedule column with the schedule rank in parentheses. You can also scroll down to the bottom where the teams are organized by conference and division to see the SEC schools rankings side by side.
