Over time, 2nd down and 26, walk off touchdown for a national championship happens all the time? Name one

More meaningful than technically impressive, just a beat man on a vanilla go route.

Kinda but it was more than just a beat man on a go route. It was Cover-2 with the safety over the top; the corner thought he had help deep but Tua looked the safety off, causing him to take a couple steps to the center which opened the throw up…

I can find better plays in just about any SEC game during that time period.

Again, is the criteria the #1 play or the #1 play under "certain conditions"? Because that's an easy play to make and not impressive. It's uncontested.

If that's a "#1 play" it's a "#1 coverage bust play" and that's about it.

Hitting a wide open WR from a clean pocket with nobody around him within 5 yards isn't impressive. That's a "no shite Sherlock" play any QB is expected to make at the D-1 level and happens all the time.

You don't have to like that, but it's not impressive. It's expected from a QB, whether you like it or not.

Is the criteria the circumstances, or the play?

None of the above matters. That's an easy uncontested throw any QB can make regardless of what the circumstances are. It's pitch and catch.

This guy gets it.

That's a gimme play, not impressive.

You should send the SEC network a strongly worded email to voice your displeasure with their ranking.

Maybe I should. They clearly have low standards for what a "WOW play" is. That's not impressive nor does it have any wow factor. It's an easy throw because of a total defensive failure. That's all it is

Kick six.

I get that the Tua play was for a natty, but Kick Six was more dramatic and more of a shock.

The Kick Six happened a year before the SEC Network started broadcasting. Please note the title of the thread.

Seems like you just refuse to acknowledge the circumstances that made this play incredible.

Down in overtime of a national title game after taking a massive sack with an unreliable FG kicker that missed a 21 yarder at the end of regulation. Very next play is a perfect bomb for a TD from one true freshman to another. Game over.

Did you need the ball to ricochet off three Georgia players before being caught to make it special?

OU fans sure are a hell of a lot more annoying than I thought they'd be. Everyone assumed Texas would be the most obnoxious addition when they joined, but I'm having second thoughts.

2nd and 26 deserves the Bama holiday.

If that's the best play in a decade that's pretty weak

Dude.......stop pretending.

If that play were made against Bama's defense and Georgia was posting this thread, you'd see it for exactly what it is. It was 2nd and 26. Georgia's defense knew what was coming. They clowned it up anyway, because this is a defensive clownshow, not an impressive offensive play, and that's exactly how you'd see it. Georgia fans know it's just a defensive clownshow play too.

that might be the #1 play of the SECN era - but this best 2:12 of SEC football in the SECN era

Agreed. Recency bias aside, I feel like this was a much better play:

Hitting a wide open WR in stride is the #1 play?

Fair point. Oklahoma is so used to opponent WRs running free on them the past 10 years, it becomes routine.
