Stupid comment. Lead with his head. Malicious intent. Was a blown call. We’ve moved on but your passionate defense of these indefensible hits shows how insecure you are

You're just a pussy who thinks any big hit is a penalty.

When I played, that's the kind of hit you were expected to make, and that mentality only changed recently because of rules changes.

The play was reviewed multiple times and no penalty was called because it was within the rules of the time.

Those last 6 words.....

What about them?

Do you think the QB is entitled to special treatment and shouldn't get blocked when trying to go for a tackle?

If a QB doesn't want to get blocked, they don't have to chase after the guy with the ball.

It wasn't a penalty because he didn't lead with his head. He lead with his shoulder into Murrays chest, not the crown of his helmet. The helmet contact was incidental.

Nonsense. The rules committee specifically cited the Dial hit as a reason for adding Targeting as a rule in 2013. It's pretty clear that there is significant helmet to helmet contact.

The same thing happened to Alabama in an Ole Miss game we lost. Nobody cries about it.

I'm not one to defend Ole Miss, but those two hits aren't the same. Only your Crimson glasses can't see that.

OBTW, Spearing (lowering the head to make a hit) has always been a penalty, but it didn't warrant an ejection until Targeting was added in 2013.
I wonder why Alabama fans don't know that. (//sarcasm)

& he wasn't chasing the guy with the ball...he was going to the sides & off the field.
