We are over halfway through the SEC season now. Let's take a look at the updated rankings released today.

ITA Top 75

SEC in the rankings:

4 Texas
12 Texas A&M
16 Tennessee
17 Mississippi State
21 Oklahoma
26 South Carolina
28 Georgia
29 Florida
31 Auburn
34 Alabama
35 Kentucky
38 Arkansas
49 Ole Miss
56 Vanderbilt
unranked LSU

The middle of the SEC has been beating up on each other, not letting anyone separate from the pack other than Texas and A&M. Could be as few as three SEC teams hosting a top 16 regional this year, which would be the fewest in a while.

Damn. Florida is a dumpster fire in athletics. 29th in tennis. WTF is going on? Fire Strickland. How will we ever recover? Shame…

Understandable since y’all usually have the worst tennis program in the league year in and what out. 38th is actually great for Arkansas by their standards

Let me guess, we're good enough to make it to the NCAA finals and lose to Virginia or TCU?

Not Virginia this year but very possible to Wake or TCU. They are both probably a smidge better than Texas overall

I wonder what the most SEC championships are in a single academic year.

Our worst sports are indoor track & field and men's basketball. It was a great first year for us in the SEC so far.

Wow, the traditional titans of tennis have fallen off the map..........

-- Stanford is ranked only 9th (17 national titles with the last one coming in 2000)

-- Georgia is ranked only 26th (6 national titles with the last one coming in 2008)

-- USC is ranked only 30th (21 national titles with the last one coming in 2014)

-- UCLA is ranked only 33rd (16 national titles with the last one coming in 2005)

It's just like college basketball....UCLA, Kentucky, North Carolina, Kansas and Indiana are all way down. Only Duke is holding their own right now.

Usually, yes; however, for 2025 both the men's and women's championships will be held on the campus of Baylor University. The NCAA has recently begun to rotate the championships onto different college campuses.

In addition to usually hosting the NCAA championships, the NCAA Tennis Hall of Fame is also located in Athens on the campus of the University of Georgia.

I've played a lot of tennis in my life and I'll agree with you on this. Nothing like Athens and that wild tennis atmosphere there.

Have met several TV and movie celebrities over the years in Athens attending the matches.
