Paris as COTY was the biggest no-brainer of the year. He did an unbelievable job this year.

Knecht was a given. I don’t think that surprised anyone. But to have ZZ as defensive player of the year, is amazing. He tore his ACL a year ago and then come back and played at an elite level like nothing happened.

Seems like an odd choice. Last UT game I watched, Zeigler was being targeted because of size mismatches.

McMahon did a great job, finished in the top half of a good conference without any star-level talent. Should note, Jordan Wright could have easily been selected second team over a couple guys on the list.

Wait, Collin Murray-Boyles is only 6'7"?

He is a terror in the paint.

Great is a bit of a stretch, but really pointing out just the lack of higher end talent as you said. Which has kind of been his biggest weakness overall. Talent acquisition so far.

HE exceeded expectations overall in conference play but we were still nowhere close really to making the NCAAT which is a bit of a bummer. Turn around a couple WTF games and we're right there (Nicholls for instance). The thing that gives me pause is a lot of our losses this year were not close games and usually isnt a great sign. He pulled off some incredible upsets this year but man we got beat like a drum a lot too.

The world as you see it is shaped by where we’re ranked. I don’t know what obsession is if that isn’t it.

Knecht was a no brainer

UK never really gets going until the end of the season with the constant personnel turnover, maybe they will continue on their hot streak coming down the stretch

How did Broome do this year?

Edit: just saw his name first team. I missed it, and was like, no way he isn’t on it.

He won't win it, but he's one of 15 finalists for Naismith

Dude was just flat-out cold Saturday against UT.

In the final four minutes he made two 3-pointers (back-to-back), hit two FTs, had a block, and grabbed a rebound.

Finished with 33 minutes and 27 off the bench, which was almost one-third of UK's total points.

And he's a white 6'-3" freshman.
