He's a hell of a player. I think he'll have a slump at some point, but his start is pretty spectacular.

I assume by reading some threads today that we are not in fact talking about Jordan Jefferson?

Isn't Auburn's overall offensive productivity down from this point last season? The games have been much closer than I recall up to this point last season. Going to be interesting to watch Auburn from here on out.

Yeah, but we hung 500 yards on USCe so I'm not overly worried. Our offense has been just fine other than one hiccup of 360 yards against MSU.

I don't think he is that good. I think it's more of he has a supporting cast and has played some mild opponents.

they are but Auburn keeps finding ways to win and that is a big portion of having a successful team; they can win even when they are out talented.

This Auburn team may be better than last years, but they have certainly not proved it.

The defense looks better, but gives up a lot of touchdowns for an SEC contending defense.

A team is yet to really sellout to stop Cam and make someone else get the tough yards or force Cam to make tough decisions.

To Auburn's credit it seems Chizik is finally asserting himself over the snake oil salesmen Gus. The truth is the quick tempo offense and quick scoring offense does as much to wear out your own D as your opponents and forces them into playing unnecessary snaps. Keeping the D off the field this season in the early going is most likely going to payoff during their next stretch of games.

Kiffin went after Matt Simms instead of him.

Great one Kiff.

We went uptempo pretty much the entire second half. I was at the game and for the majority of the 3rd and 4th quarter the snap was coming with right about 25 seconds on the playclock. Sometimes a few seconds more. We only got 11 plays off in the first quarter, but that's due to the two fumbles. We probably would have tried to go quick then.

There are obviously times that milking the clock are in order and Malzahn knows that. But if we get in a rhythm that offense is going to go into overdrive and wear the defense out.

A quote from OT Branden Mosley on Andy Bitter's blog.

Mosley said Auburn's pace took its toll on South Carolina: "You can tell when they got tired -- they were standing up, hands on their hips and weren't ready. We knew we were whipping them. It felt really good to get that pace going and knock them back."

If he was on bama's team, he would already have a room dedicated to him at the Bryant museum.

He's a baller. Kiffin's is an idiot for choosing Sims over him.
