I don't really expect either team to get embarrassed. UGA is tough defensively, has really talented WRs and we know about the RBs. Bama was trending down toward the end of the year, but they still have a ton of talent and Saban with a month is pretty damn good. The teams on the other side are really good too. It seems like the games should be pretty decent.

Vegas seems to think Bama has the best chance to win it this year.

Vegas always seems to think that. While I think Bama is still a very tough team, I don't see why they would be favored given what they did against decent teams this year.

If we lose to Oklahoma because they are the better team, so be it. The Big 12 is garbage to me, no defense. I wouldn't be surprised he we blew them out quite honestly, seems to happen a lot in their bowl games. Clemson or Alabama on a neutral field is a different beast completely.

The only two teams fans that think UGA and Bama will lose are LSU and Auburn. I wonder why. Poor little bros

OU will just load the box all game and make Fromm throw the ball. OU has the best Oline in CFB and weapons all over the field. UGA has no chance of keeping up with OU.

WTF sporting news all over it

quote:

The opening Rose Bowl betting line at the Westgate SuperBook was Alabama -1. The South Point opened the game pick ‘em but moved to Alabama -1 after taking sharp bets on the Tide, sports book director Chris Andrews confirmed in a text message to Omnisport. Meanwhile, No. 2 Oklahoma is listed by most Vegas sports books as the short favorite over No. 3 Georgia in the Sugar Bowl. The South Point opened the Sooners -2, while the Westgate opened -2.5 before adjusting later in the day to -2. However, MGM Resorts is dealing the game a pick ‘em, according to Vegas Insider, while other books in town have Oklahoma -1 or -1.5.

If Georgia is on their game vs Okie like they were last night there's no way they'll lose that game. Trouble is, this is unfamiliar turf for the Dawgs. They had become so conditioned toward disappointment and underachieving under Mark Richt that this newfound rarefied air of the playoffs may be hard to take.

Alabama will likely beat Clemson. They're highly salted over last year's late loss in the title game, and are on a mission.

Right, and the line opened up at one point(I think I saw), it could easily swing in Clemson's favor. Vegas seems to think that when Bama's linebackers are healthy, that nobody will be able to run on them again. Bama pass efficiency defense is number 2, they are actually better against the pass than previous Saban teams. Of course I am for my school, and will not bet against them, but if I didn't have a dog in the fight, I would likely bet Clemson.

I've actually seen OU play defense and I'm going to go out on a limb and say this is oversimplifying things just a bit. OU does have a very nasty offense so I'm not writing them off. Honestly I've watched them more than any of the other three teams because they're so damn fun to watch and I think I'm less certain about how good they really are than I am with any of the other three teams. If I had to bet money on it I'd probably take Georgia over OU in the Rose Bowl but I'd probably give OU a better chance at winning it all.
