Texas has always played a cupcake schedule.

SEC gifted them a winning conference record. They’ll have to be elite to win it all. Or even the conference title.

Vandy is better than OU

Your so new that you don't realize that even those lowly teams will beat your arse if you let them..... I bet Texas loses at least one of them

Listen dummy, we gotta play ohio st., Georgia and Penn St. or ND in playoffs, there aint no gift in that. And thats with 1st week bye. It could get worse with a low slot
Not to mention season with Ohio st on road. Florida on road, georgia on road and OU neutral and Either Alabama or Georgia in SEC title nuetral, so pull your head out of your rear end and stop your whining
. You had your 5 chances for 5 titles, you blew it, let daddy show you how its done, just like against Southern Cal when daddy had to show you how to beat those guys.

Just cuz LSU lost to Troy dont mean one of those high school teams the SEC plays will ever beat us.

That remains to be seen.
They don’t have the NIL to compete. The administration has been very open about that. Nebraska 2.0.
Quite honestly they’d still be sitting behind Tech and ASU in the Big12.

But like Arkansas in the SWC, remaining in the Big 12 guaranteed irrelevance in the future of college football.
The Big12 is still very relevant today, it’s just not a top 2 conference.

The Utrans athletic department worked very hard to get that schedule
Who knows how many dicks they sucked around the Birmingham area to make that schedule
Let’s not pretend like they didn’t earn it

Hey look everybody, Old Sarge is thinking about transexuals and sucking dick again. It's like clockwork with you!

Yes, their SEC schedule is a joke. No, their entire schedule is not. At least they are playing somebody OOC

Aahhh....I just love the bickering, the hatred. OU-TX, TX-Aggies, and the rest of the SEC hating TX and thinking OU is a joke. LSU thinking they own us. (They kinda do, for now.)
LOL
I honestly like it. A lot. I missed the Aggie-Texas hatred. It's great to see all of you morons back at it again. I mean that in a friendly way. Being in this conference feels like Animal House. It's awesome. I ain't too worried about it. We'll be back in the saddle before long.

No trash talk here… we played OU and Vandy last year and without a doubt Vandy was better. Maybe modify your list.

It's not relevant in terms of the discussion of where college football is going.
The Big 10 and the SEC will be the drivers for the future of college football. The ACC is about to be carved up like a Thanksgiving turkey. Whatever is left plus the Big 12 will exist as the teams the Big 10 and SEC don't want.
We're already seeing the College Football Playoff shifting to favor the Big 10 and the SEC. If the SEC had agreed with the Big 10's formula of 4+4+2+2+1+3 that would have happened. The two conferences have already struck a deal that the Big 12 and ACC agreed to under a shotgun marriage arrangement that gave the Big 10/SEC control over the formula. This is just the beginning. Those two conferences will determine how or if enforcement is handled. They'll be the primary lobbying groups in terms of how federal legislation is crafted. Now, Cody Campbell and his relationship with Trump is a wildcard there, but if nothing happens during Trump's term that goes away to some degree.
All I'm saying is that membership in the Big 12 means a diminished role in the future of the sport. Texas and OU would have still had a seat at the eventual table. That's a given. But they would have had little to no say as to the dinner menu.
And while I agree OU doesn't have the NIL to compete, I also don't know what the structure of college football is going to look like in the future. I do know if it maintains its current structure its going to collapse under the weight of not being able to control its labor costs. I believe OU put a structure in place hoping that the House settlement cap would be a harder cap than it's proved to be early on. But running a league based on guardrails established by the latest court settlement sets yourself up to be constantly adjusting based on the latest lawsuit. That's not a recipe for stability. So eventually we'll get some kind of federal legislation. But I have no idea when it will come or what it will look like. At that point OU might have a better chance of competing for top athletes, depending on what the legislation looks like, and who their coach is.
