Go farther back to the TBS Game of the Week on your local affiliate.

Tim Foley and Bob Neal. Believe Charles Davis was on some of them.

No crazy old school rivalry games, though LSU-AU might be close, but that is a good slate of games.

The JP Game of the week!!

True talk for a couple of bottom tier programs the past 5 or 6 years.

Good times.

I kind of miss when it was rare to be on TV, when the vast majority of the time we were listening to it on the radio. There's something to listening to the game while sitting your porch that a lot of folks will never experience now.

I agree - growing up an Auburn fan in Louisiana I remember if it was a night game I would go out to my parents car and go through every number on the AM dial to try and pick up a staticky broadcast coming out of Alabama where I might be able to pick up every third word or so haha

I do this anyway. I don't watch live TV ever except for sports. My wife doesn't either, but she streams and likes to binge watch. Waits for shows to be a few seasons deep etc.

So rather than pay the $5 for a temporary pass on game day, I just use my antenna for ABC. I turn on ABC when the first game comes on and turn it off when the games are over.

And then I'll listen to Alabama on the radio broadcast if the game is not on ABC.

I might end up paying the $5 for more important games. Pretty much no choice come playoffs. But like ECU - radio live and then condensed version the SEC uploads later.

Luckily Alabama is on ABC a lot.

Also, I'm about 30 seconds ahead of people on streams apparently.

Current state of my team aside, it's fun that a bunch of these games are compelling watches when...in the past...they'd have been background noise at best.

Yep. I was stationed in a state where they didn't have any affiliates close enough to my area pickup the football network so I had to drive about an hour away to get it on the car radio.
