I don't get the Ed O hate. I approve of him.

Lots of empty seats on the Gus bus.

Hell, Ed deserves a high approval rating if for no other reason than hauling in a top 10 class in the wake of LSU canning the most successful coach in school history. Couple that with the staff he built and even as a rival fan, I approve of CEO's work thus far.

What has Orgeron done at LSU that you would disapprove of if you were an LSU fan?

Get hired as head coach

Their fans are probably a little apathetic with CGM right now. If you look at his tenure as a whole, he came out of the shoot too damn fast with that '13 season. Since that season, he's shown that he's a "head coach in training" and IMO he's made strides in getting the defense fixed.

But while he hired good coaches to field a decent defense, his own area of expertise has fallen way off. He's been super stubborn where the offense is concerned and probably should have made a coordinator change after the '14 season and at minimum the end of '15.

Now here he sits, seemingly coaching for his job this season. The fans and more than likely the Administration are restless, things simply can't stay status quo when they bring in top 10 recruiting classes consistently.

Interesting comment regarding Orgeron and fans reaction to 1st loss.

While I know it is a bit of technicality Orgeron does have his 1st loss under his belt at LSU.. albeit as interim coach not head coach.

I will have to say as an LSU fan I like the results so far as a head coach in terms of staffing and recruiting.

We will see how this translates beginning in September

The quickness that this could potentially change would give people whiplash.

I'm surprised Saban is only at 97.4

While he got a three-peat in the SECCG, he failed to win back to back NC's, a small contingent obviously hold that loss in Tampa against him.

Some fans have blinders on and won't look in the rear-view mirror at his whole body of work.

If BYU wins on 9/2 than on 9/3 that # will be 14.9

Would be fun if they measured these approval ratings week to week as the season progressed.

I think Sumlin's would have been less than 0 after Thanksgiving.

He literally hasn't done a single thing that Les wouldn't have been able to do

He let the TE's/OC coach that side of the ball. Les could never do that.

CEO has hired a Broyle's nominated OC after the season. Les could never do that and if he did find one stupid enough to come to LSU it wouldn't have mattered because Les wouldn't let him have the freedom to coach anyway.

quote:

lost a game we had no business of losing to Florida

With him letting the TE's coach run the offense - LSU had 423 yards to UF's 270. LSU 23 first downs to UF's 14. LSU 34 minutes possession to UF's 26. Les would have NEVER done that. LSU dominated the game.

Sounds exactly like Les Miles

If you can't see by the changes and hires that he has already made despite being the permanent head coach for one game then you are just clueless or refuse to acknowledge what has happened.

quote:

botched that hire in a way so bad that the SEC should all be laughing at us.

Missouri, Ole Miss, Arkansas, Florida, and Texas A&M aren't laughing and wish LSU still had Les leading the program - especially Arkansas.

Alabama probably isn't laughing either after winning because of their buddies in stripes help on the QB run. Winning 10-0 with a TE's coach running the offense does not lead to laughter when the same team now has added the only Broyles award candidate on offense to run that side of the ball.

Honest question, how do you think Les would have finished the season if he had stayed on?

Worse. Arkansas not only won the last two games against LSU - games that came right after the Bama game - but whipped LSU's arse, it would have happened on the road again this year.

I'd like to talk to the 3% that gave Saban a negative vote....or maybe not.

Call any processed player's family, friends or HS coaches. I'm surprised it's not higher than 3%. Saban processes players that don't measure up or are replaced by better players like no-other coach.
