No one will or should fear him as of now, he hasnt proven himself aside from one big game, but he has a lot of upside. He's faster and more shifty than Ridley and he can still knock people over. I expect him to go well over 1000yds, but I'm also LSU biased. The SEC will know him after the first few games

Richardson and Ware are different backs.
I think any credible negative analysis of Richardson's production takes in his style, and propensity to be injured.
He does tends to take hits.
I think anybody with eyes sees the same thing with Richardson. ELITE.
Davis was ELITE.
Lattimore is POETRY.
Dyer has no line, right ?
It seems like with that great O line, Ware has a great opportunity to put up elite numbers.
And he has the perfect mix of speed, juke and strength for the SEC.

Richardson is a linebacker playing runningback with great speed. I can't see why people doubt Richardson and praise Ware. As said above I am an LSU homer but I am honest when I analyze players and the game itself. I see Richardson having more production this year. For the simple fact that Ware is splitting carries and LSU will pass more than Bama. As opposed to Bama who is bringing in a new QB (Not saying JJ is better than him) and will rely on the run more to get McCaron in his groove. Also correct me if I am wrong but I do believe Richardson is the clear cut starter and will get 80% of the carries.

Who doubts Richardson ?
Link ?
And why would you take somebody who doubts Richardson seriously ?
And I'm NOT comparing the two or asking if he "inspires fear" I'm just asking if he's on the radar .

I think you got your answer. They don't consider him an elite back.

A 758 Quarterback Rating? Wow. Dude's a beast.

All kidding aside, the kid may be the biggest weapon we have on offense. He can do it all, and if you stop the run and the wheel route, you have to account for his arm. Both him and Magee(FR) should see some wildcat in the future, esp. if our current QB situation doesn't improve.

Let him get 100 carries in conference play before we call him an elite SEC back. He has potential, but he needs to actually perform before he is crowned anything.

Definitely

Very doubtful. I hope he doesn't get 80% of the carries. He may get 80% of the carries in an odd game or two but over the course of the season I expect it will be something more like:

Richardson - 60%
Lacy - 25%
Fowler and others - 15%

I watched teh Cotton Bowl and he looked pretty sharp. Not that impressed with Michael Ford though.
