I don't have a problem with the pickoff change.

The three-batter minimum change is a terrible idea. It completely changes the strategies of pitching and defense.

I’m cool with the 3 batter minimum. It’s even more strategy. Plus, no one is enjoying the 4+ hour games that most reach now.

What are they trying to limit with the 3 batter rule.

Also once there is a second pickoff wont the fast runners just make leads thus making the SBs gimmes

That’s not the norm at all in college baseball, especially in conference games.

Can’t find data from this year but the year the pitch clock was added, the average length of SEC games was 2 hours 49 minutes. That was down 21 minutes from the previous year

What takes the most time isn’t the pitching changes. It’s the reviews taking so long. They’ve already capped mound visits, added pitch clocks, and pitching changes are limited to 90 seconds from the time the coach starts walking to the mound. They also made run rules mandatory in SEC games.

The three batter minimum for pitchers is dumb at the college level. And limiting pickoff attempts is just inviting easy stolen bases, which results in more runs, and longer innings

I’m guessing cut down on dead time. Each pitcher gets warmups and all that time jazz. Just guessing though

Agree. So pitchers will have to be wise on using 2nd one. This too cuts down on time to ice batter with many pickoff attempts. Most don’t realize a batter is patiently waiting for the pitch only to watch several pickoff attempts, and might get lulled a bit

fricking good.

The cock sucking baseball “traditionalists” can get fricked if they don’t like this. Endlessly trying to pick off someone isn’t strategy and changing pitchers after every batter isn’t strategy either. It’s bitch made shite that’s been in the game for too long.
Getting rid of this trash will make the games go by faster and improve fan experience exponentially.

They need to get rid of the shift next

Perhaps managers should put in players that they are confident can handle any batter they face
