If the conference decides this is the best course of action, if UF agrees as well, and the conference provides financial compensation to LSU, then LSU should play this game. If you won't accept that, LSU should be charged a forfeit. Conversely, if UF were to balk, I would say charge them.

have another downvote.

lsu should just bend over is what your saying

We tried being more than reasonable last week, but you know that story.

Again, come on over to Baton Rouge and play this game on Nov 19th Florida, we'd be happy to host you.

Other than that, they can take their no planning self and stay in Florida.

Fiction: Foley, McElwaine, and Florida admin were legitimately concerned about safety for all involved.

Fact: Foley stating that he truly believed the game would be played in Gainesville on Thursday proves he didn't care about the LSU people who would have had to travel there on the day of the storm. The Florida ladies volleyball team travelled away to a game on Saturday, but Foley was "concerned about safety for the men's football team", as the reason they could not go to Baton Rouge or a neutral site.

They didn't care about ANYONE'S safety, that was simply the excuse they used to justify their real reason for postponing the game. Which was money and a high likelihood of losing the game (and any shot at the SEC East title).

I can't tell if you're trolling now, or if you're just reaching really far. I'll play along though. LDR practiced some Vandy week. Fact. He was dressed and traveled to Tennessee and Vanderbilt. Fact. He practiced all week for LSU and was going to play against LSU. Fact.

Brantley got hurt against Vandy but kept playing. Fact. Cox was hurt against UT but played sparingly against Vandy anyway. Fact. They were both ruled "questionable" pretty much against LSU. Fact. Upgraded to "probable" on Wednesday more than 24 hours before the game was postponed. Fact.

We were going to be without two starters on defense and that's it. Fact. If Florida dodged a really scary 3-2 LSU, injuries had nothing to do with it.

but when it's time to talk about rescheduling the game

...Florida says, "No, Saturday in Gainesville."

it's all on LSU's terms

It is now that they wasted all of their options.

LSU has obligations. We told UF that it would only get harder to reschedule the game after the weekend. Did they even hold out the possibility of Monday? No, they unilaterally refused to consider ANYTHING but Saturday last week. Well now it's too late.

I want to beat Southern Mississippi.

then you are going to have to be reasonable about the solution

I see. Florida can be unreasonable at no consequence to them it's only when LSU decides to move on that they are called unreasonable and must have consequences.

Why the double standard?

Why do you keep repeating this? The time to talk about rescheduling was last week before the weekend when ALL the options were on the table. Florida refused to consider any of the options LSU was willing to entertain.

Florida and the SEC office needlessly created this problem, they can be the ones to move their schedules around to fix it.

It sucks but this your problem.

It's not MY problem, or even LSU's problem. LSU intends to play out the remainder of its schedule as previously arranged.

If you think it's anybody's problem at this point, it's probably YOUR problem.

Then that impacts UGA and one thing is clear is this ain't their problem. It sucks but this your problem.

There are zero scenarios in which LSU/UF can reschedule this game where it doesn't impact any other schools.

This.

LSU has been on both sides on the fence. Had to give up a home game, and been a host for someone else's home game.

When the hurricane is paying you a visit, you are the one with the problem. No one else should have to give up a home game for you, or re-schedule for you. Florida already got paid insurance money for their lost game. They absolutely should have to travel to LSU. LSU SHOULD ABSOLUTELY NOT be required, or even expected to give up a home game, or go through the gauntlet of Bama, Ark, Fla, A&M in a 3.5 week stretch to "be reasonable." Period.

I'm not.

Look, I posted your link. That's a fact.

Not really concerned with all your revisionist history after your AD schemed to cancel the game. I would have done the same thing if I were him, and you. Once I ducked the game, "All those players we said injured Monday? They're actually fine, and would have played. Don't think we were trying to duck y'all! They were fine"!

I'm just dealing in facts. See that link I provided.
