He still will have more accomplishments than Kiffin.

If given the option, you're seriously saying you would take O over Kiffin?

Just the facts man...

Career Records:

Kiffen 66-39
Orgeron 61-41, 1 SECC, 1 NC

Both have the same problem. Their records are skewed by having coached at Ole Miss...

Look at the difference in talent each coach had to work with, and then get back to me. Here's a hint. Fisher had a star player in some places but very little depth.

Same with LSU, Miles was recruiting in a very similar style as Sumlin during his last few seasons.

Where was Texas A&M ranked all those years before and in the SEC before Fisher had a chance to clean up the culture and get better players to fit his system. This is now just started to take notice and he isn't going backwards. That is why some can get lucky and be in the top 5 then drop off and never be back on top. Gus ring a bell?

If Alabama needed a coach and had to choose between O and Kiffin, they would choose Kiffin. No question.

Why? Coach O was Ole Miss best of the worst HC there! Should have kept him there!

Multiple coaches and players have stated that Fisher is the reason for the "bad culture" at Florida State.

I'm really not sure why so many of you carry water for him as a coach.

How is it at Texas A&M? Same issue going on at Texas A&M?
I guess you wanted Texas A&M to fail and say Fisher is not a good HC.

There's no way of knowing that if you aren't on the team.

I didn't say he isn't a good coach, I'm just not sure why some here pretend he's some great program builder or coach.

His dumb arse decision of Fromm over Fields when Fromm sucked. Dabo and Saban made the tough call and replaced incumbent QBs cause they knew it was better long term. Amateur like Kirby didn’t.

Resume wise he is pretty solidly above the rest of the guys not named Saban (and he is a Saban guy). He clearly has A&M on the right track as well.

Ed O had the magical season but otherwise hasn't been very impressive.

O's first two seasons at LSU are 9-4 and 10-3.

Jimbo's first two seasons at Texas A&M are 9-4 and 8-5.

Interesting that you regard Jimbo as being on the "right track" but O with more wins is regarded as "not very impressive."

Bias much?

You do remember they played football last year, right? A&M was 10-1, Won the Orange Bowl, and finished #4. LSU was 5-5 and lost to A&M and nearly was shut out except they got a garbage score at the end.

A&M's recruiting under Jimbo has been dramatically better. The overall trajectory for the team is excellent.

Coach O had a great 2019 with a ridiculous QB. Otherwise he has been pretty meh by LSU standards and he was certainly not impressive at USC or Ole Miss.

Here is the better question. If Saban decided to retire tomorrow and Bama could hire any SEC coach they wanted, who is their first choice? I'm guessing it isn't Coach O.

What makes Fisher the second best coach in the conference?

I could have put Kirb there. They are pretty much even. I gave Jimbo the edge because of his success at F$U and his 2020 season at TAMU, Kirb has performed at a high level but outside of 2017 has not really accomplished much at a program that has been at a similar level for the past two decades.

Winning 10 games at TAMU is more impressive than winning 10 at UGa.

To be fair, Jimbo didn't win 10.

So you're basing it off of one season? Also, you only won 9 games last season, not 10.

Better than what?

Again, based on what, one year?

He won a NY6 bowl in Year 2, the same thing you're using as a major indicator of success for Jimbo in Year 3.

he was certainly not impressive at USC

He went like 6-2 as an interim head coach.

Are you retarded?

lol Saban literally started hurts over tua longer than Smart did Fromm over fields. Only difference is UGA wasn’t placed in the playoffs after not winning their conference. Bama fans certainly are slow.
