People ranking Mullen over Kirby is hilarious. Kirby has punked Mullen for almost every year aside from last year

Resume wise he is pretty solidly above the rest of the guys not named Saban (and he is a Saban guy). He clearly has A&M on the right track as well.

Ed O had the magical season but otherwise hasn't been very impressive.

O's first two seasons at LSU are 9-4 and 10-3.

Jimbo's first two seasons at Texas A&M are 9-4 and 8-5.

Interesting that you regard Jimbo as being on the "right track" but O with more wins is regarded as "not very impressive."

Bias much?

Easy. What the hell has Kiffin ever won as a head coach?
Keep that same energy when O is fired in 2 years

Maybe LSU will just hire Kiffin then

Look at the difference in talent each coach had to work with, and then get back to me. Here's a hint. Fisher had a star player in some places but very little depth. Going into year four there are "star" players all across the roster and excellent depth everywhere except OL (fixed this Fall)

curious to see how y’all rank Jimbo vs Mull

I would place Fisher ahead of Mullen. He has recruited better and had a better season in 2020. Also has head 2 head. Mullen has a better record while at UF, but the West has been the more difficult division. It's close, but Fisher gets the nod. If you include Fisher's resume outside the SEC it isn't close.

Same with LSU, Miles was recruiting in a very similar style as Sumlin during his last few seasons.

Kirby recruits just as well if not better than Saban and doesn’t do shite with it

Does more than Mullen. Who you admitted recruits worse. Sounds like you agree he should be ranked higher.

Even if you pretend that Arky really did win the AU game, he still was under .500 in his first season. Simply too early to rank him amongst the league's best with just one year's experience under his belt, even if he had actually won more games than he lost.

But then I'm pretty sure you'd have had Nutt in your top 3 in the SEC after his first season at Arky in '98.

Real rankings:

1. Saban
2. Fisher
3. Kirby
4. Mullen
t5. Kiffin
t5. Leach

2017 made the natty and lost in OT to Saban

2018 Made it to the SECCG and lost in the final minute to Saban

2019 Nobody was beating LSU

2020 We had a walk on as our QB for most of the season

Sounds like he's done pretty well despite having to go up against the GOAT coach and a historically dominant LSU squad

What makes Fisher the second best coach in the conference?
