I don't. I've come to realize we suck at everything except sucking.

Bless your heart, that took me less than 2 min to type from memory because some of us actually watch CBB and know more than just what our team is doing (and only on winning years). Some of us have been to multiple Final Fours in person that our team didn’t even participate in, because we actually like CBB. We’ll see how long AU can sustain their “fandom” after Pearl leaves and tDecline sets in.

This should make me feel better about LSU basketball, but it makes me feel worse

Auburn fans run around acting like they’re a blue blood when the pinnacle of their basketball success is one Final Four.
Pearl is slimy but he’s brought Auburn basketball way up. The problem is, when he’s gone, Auburn basketball will go back to crap.

Maybe you’re an idiot and shouldn’t have offspring. Arkansas was nationally relevant under Muss except for his last year.
I guess winning 25+ games and going to Elite 8s isn’t “nationally relevant” to you.

Other than Kentucky, this is the same for every basketball program in the SEC.

I’m sure Auburn has a banner hanging in their gym that says “Auburn basketball has finally arrived, Arkansas fans stormed the court after they beat our best team’s arse.”

True, but some crap is worse than others.

This is true 100% of the time.

Bama fans act as if they are as knowledgeable and passionate about basketball as Kentucky fans, yet unless Auburn is coming to Coleman, they can’t ever fill up their trash arena.
I’ve been to 15 SEC basketball Tournaments and zero of those were when Bruce Pearl was head coach of Auburn. What’s your point?

No program is more butt hurt over Auburn’s basketball success as the Arkansas Razorbacks. A 31-year drought with no SEC basketball titles will I guess do that to you.

None of them are struggling with it quite like this one is though.

Some of us are as knowledgeable, very few as passionate. On the whole, our fan base clearly ranks behind KY and Arkansas on these areas.

What’s your point?
Let me see if I can lay it out for you and then give you a chance to redeem yourself. My point was that a knowledgeable CBB fan would never have made the mistake of labeling programs B&C from the below list as the 2 best basketball programs in the SEC since the 2017-2018 season:
Program A:
86 conference wins
2 SECC
2 SECT
3 S16s
1 E8
1 F4
Programs B-D w/respect to program A:
Program B
+ 3 regular season conference wins
- 2 S16s
+ an opening round loss to #13 Yale
Program C
+ 5 regular season conference wins
- 1 SECT
- 1 F4
Program D
+ 5 regular season conference wins (and highest winning % of the 4)
- 1 SECC
- 1 SECT
- 1 S16
- 1 F4
+ Some serious opening round embarrassments
There isn’t a knowledgeable CBB fan in the country that would choose B or C over A, let alone both. The only metric that could even possibly be used would be conference regular season games, which would make program D the winner.
Question to redeem yourself:
Assuming A doesn’t win a conf title or make it past the 2nd round, what does B have to do this year to take over as the best SEC program since the 2017-2018 season? (Hint: it’s less than making another F4 and more than making a S16 with no conf titles)

0-18 last season and Missouri still isn't last? Oof.

It’s wild that gates can have a 0-18 season and still have a better record than McMahon.

I knew this thread had to be a bball newbee when he started talking conf titles. Nothing matter except what happens in the real tourney. You dont make it out of the first weekend your seaon is a waste. Make it to the second weekend decent 3rd exceptional
