That Bama is kicking in full blast now. Bama is #1 because you say so and even the SEC is wrong because you (Bama) claim they are #1.

You would know all about getting beat up on the short bus.

Tie breaker does not go in play until the season ends and if teams are tied in the standings.

Come on now, really…you have no idea?

Well, in the case of a regular season conference championship, there is no tie-breaker. Each of the teams with the same record would be considered Co-Champions.

However, in the case of SEC tournament seeding, there is a tie breaker and Alabama is currently at the top of those standings.

I’m sorry that you either don’t like it or don’t understand it.

We’re laughing our asses off at this delusional nutjob. The best part about beating Bama is how Bammers melt. Their fragile ego just shatters like glass and they go nuts. Your boy Tuscalooser is a prime example.

And you can't explain why the sec doesn't have Bama #1 when they made the rules if you are so right.

Internet user Auburntiger, can you explain SEC Basketball standings to me as it pertains to post-season play?

Okay internet user Tuscaloosa

I assume you're making reference to the SEC basketball tournament?

Teams will be seeded No. 1 through No. 14 in the SEC Basketball Tournament bracket based upon the final regular season Conference standings. Teams that finished No. 1 through No. 4 in the final regular season standings shall receive first- and second-round byes and teams that finish No. 5 through No. 10 will receive first-round byes in the SEC Basketball Tournament.

Two-Team Tie

A. Won-lost results of head-to-head competition between the two teams.

B. Won-lost record of the two teams versus the No. 1 seed (and proceeding through the No. 14 seed, if necessary).

C. Coin Flip By Commissioner

Three-Team Tie (or more)

A. Best winning percentage of games played among the tied teams (Example: Team A is 3-1, Team B is 2-2 and Team C is 1-3 â?? Team A would be seeded highest, Team B second-highest and Team C lowest of the three).

B. Best winning percentage of the tied teams versus the No. 1 seed (and proceeding through the No. 14 seed, if necessary).

C. If two teams remain, coin flip by the Commissioner.

D. If three or more teams remain, draw by the Commissioner.

For the purpose of seeding, if an institution is precluded from participating in the tournament, such institution will automatically be seeded last. The No. 11 seed will then receive a bye. However, for the purpose of breaking ties, that team will remain where it finished in the regular-season standings BEFORE being seeded last.

But, you can’t figure out why the Official SEC Website list the teams in order in the standings! I let you flounder a bit longer.

There is no tie-breaker for regular season standings, and Bama is leading the pack for the tie breaker in post season standings. The reason why the SEC doesn’t bother to list them in order of post-season tie breaker status doesn’t matter to me.

Got it. Thanks.

Now, using this 3 way tie breaker scenario, can you list the standings in order?

TIA.

My assumption is that it’s based on overall record, which makes it completely irrelevant to this topic and basically wins the argument we’re having in this thread. Overall record isn’t used for any source of tiebreaker for anything, as far as I can tell.

They would be in alphabetical order if they didn't have reason to put them in the order they are. But at least you admitted only what you believed matter and not their rankings.

You are not intelligent enough for me to continue responding to at this time. Maybe we can try it again tomorrow.

Apparently a lot of upset Auburn fans that don’t understand how SEC standings work.
