Except 2 national titles does not a program make. This is about body of work all-time for the programs.

Of course it is, I don't think anyone argues that. National titles are a part of that body of work and I'd assume how you rank a program comes down to the weight you give the titles, title game appearances, FF's, etc.

We also have a comfortable lead in the all-time head to head against them.

Yet they ALWAYS use their single NCAA title as some kind of "gotcha" card against LSU.

You've posted this for a second time now, and its worth noting that nobody knows wtf you're talking about.

There's a massive difference in debating with a team that has never won vs. two teams that both had back to back national title game trips. The only difference is Florida won their defense and Arkansas lost to UCLA.

Yet you just can't ignore it and have to respond every time someone brings it up.

Bama fans living in the distant pre-birth past again. Bama may have all time wins from before Rumpelstiltskin took his nap, but it is ridiculous to claim Bama as a top 3 program now or in the last average lifetime of those on this message board.

It's a deciding factor if the bodies of work are similar, but I don't think anyone can look at the numbers objectively and say Florida is near Arkansas as an overall program. Yet there are people here that seem to think that not only is Florida close, but that they surpass Arkansas as a program. It's just silly.

Guess y'all should've gotten the job done and not crapped your pants against UCLA, huh?

And yet we still have more NCAA titles than mighty Arkansas.
Guess you didn't think that one through, huh?

And 300 less wins in 4 more seasons, and 8% lower win percentage, and 1 less final four, 2 less elite eights, 2 less sweet sixteens, and 13 less tournament appearances.

That makes it sound like the number of national titles is a tie breaker. It is a huge factor when looking into a program's history.

I think there are decent arguments either way. I don't agree that it is not close. UF has more titles and title game appearances, Arkansas has one more Final Four and two more Elite 8's (and two of those were in 8 team fields).

When the discrepancy is 2 vs. 1, it's not the make or break stat when there's as much room in literally everything else as there is between Arkansas and Florida.

You've said you don't think its close, I'm curious what you think has to be done for UF to even get to that point. Outside of appearances, tournament results aren't significantly different, what would another UF Final Four to do your ranking?

What is it about the term ALL-TIME that confuses you, sonny?

I think it is close and I normally list the two 2a and 2b. Though if you put a gun to my head I would give Arkansas the edge just for the longevity of the program and having 4 very good coaches and a tbd on Mike Anderson.

Kruger had a good season with Florida in 1994, but outside of that it has been one head coach at Florida. I want to see what all White can do on his own once he has been running the program for 5-6 years. So far, he has done well this year but had some mild hiccups last season.

Hang the banners.

Looks like y'all already do hang banners just for making the NCAA tournament.
