Yeah you can't tell if the tag was made or not before he touched the plate. The call should stand no matter if he was called safe or out. But I didn't really see confirmation.
Also this stupid arse announcing of the decision on the loudspeaker is stupid. Just make the out or safe sign like they do in the regular season.
