more talking about the hive mind of the Tiger Rant. Obviously there’s a few on here who aren’t emotionally retarded. I remember last season during the coaching search for LSU there were a lot of LSU fans saying Vitello hasn’t shown anything and that his team was filled with upperclassman and he’d be a one season wonder. Well now they’re even better than last year. Dude is a fantastic coach. People complain about him being a “douchebag” but baseball is literally the biggest douchebag sport. And then you see that post game interview where you see he truly cares for his players. It’s just another rant about the stupidity and lack of knowledge from majority of the LSU fan base on this site.

That would be nice, but I don't know if we deserve it over LSU. Or is LSU still hosting as well?

LSU is a 2 seed in Louisville on D1

According to D1 y’all are hosting and we aren’t

I mean I like Florida as a host but over a team that was 2 games better in conference regular season and beat Florida at Florida pretty handily, idk that doesn’t sit right with me if it’s between the 2

Obviously I’m biased tho

I agree. It's nice we got hot at the end of the season, and if we won today, that might be different, but we did not, so imo LSU is more deserving, but I would also determine if you are getting your players back. If not then you are a different team without them and I would include that into the rankings.

But if Berry and Doughty are coming back I would put LSU above Florida.

Honestly, Florida seemed like a team that could go farther than LSU. They looked tougher.

I mean we were missing our best SEC hitter who batted .400 in conference and another .300 hitter

We started 2 guys batting below .200, maybe 3

I’m not saying we are 100% better than Florida, but we had some really big losses from regular season to now.

Florida also obviously has Barco and we have Coleman which would be big for both teams’ staffs

Vols best hitter Dickey and 2 expected starting pitchers missed over half the season. Injuries happen.

Hey big D!

First, I never thought I would find myself in a position to say that.

Second, sincere thanks for all of the game threads. You're an alright dude, for a Gator.

I didn’t say other teams don’t have injuries, just that our literally just happened and I don’t think our tournament performance should be used to say how good we are or not, since those players are supposed to be coming back as well

Congratulations Tennessee. Nice to have thrown all your arms for a meaningless tournament. Should have saved them for next week.

Enjoyed the game. Congrats to the Vols. It certainly meant something to the team. And to the 10k plus fans who were there.

Good crowd. Perfect weather. Another good tourney after a rough start.

Winners win. It’s not built into them to lose.

I was just giving advice from a team that's been there before, well multiple times, to a school that is brand new to winning in baseball.

Ugh, of course! As we all know, pitchers are notoriously unaccustomed to pitching consecutive weekends.

We’re you on the roster or on the staff? Because stupid comments like that generally are from fans justifying a loss. Winning is a mindset, you don’t just turn it off and on, on a whim. You rest starters when you have nothing to play for and Tennessee was playing for a conference title. The team needed the tournament reps under pressure and by winning they proved to themselves they can win at a high level.

Maybe that only try when it means something is why UofSC baseball sucks arse of late.

Go look at how many SEC tournaments South Carolina won when we went in to play for the National Championship year after year after year. I guess if your baseball trophy case is gathering dust then any trophy is great but to teams that have won the title (s) and played in the Championship game multiple times we only care about 1 championship. Ask LSu fans if they booked hotel rooms for Hoover or Omaha every year

You're learn to save your arms for when it really counts
