Fair enough

Yep. That’s the horns. We’re the best until someone beats us and then they just didn’t really want to win.
They didn’t want to win when A&M beat them twice. Not a big deal.
They only want to win when it’s clear they will.

No, we wanted to win vs. A&M. Blue just didn't give us a fair shake.

Since we finally have a bullpen, I’m okay with him getting healthy.
Where has this pen been all year? Not just strikes, but in places hard to hit.

tBrand, what do you think about Schloss's approach to this tourney? I think it sets a bad precedent. We won the SEC regular season last year, lost the first game of the SEC tourney, and went on to lose our own regional. Winning is a habit, and if you try to take a weekend off it can come back to bite you. I didn't see Georgia taking last weekend off even though they had already secured the SEC regular season championship.

Texas probably already has a national seed. Texas starters, pitching especially could use 8-12 days rest. What's to gain in playing this or another game? Maybe a next to worthless title and trophy, or a broken foot to your best pitcher.
Entertaining to see sneezy and a Dawg get all worked up over nothing.

In general the best teams still win the tournament. 4 of the last 6 have been won by the 1 seed.

As a fan I want to see us try and win every game. Always irritates me when DVH does the same thing. Mid week games especially.

Yeah, that’s because refs in this league don’t really like you all that much. Get used to it.

I’d rather win.. but I do understand the argument against using your best arms..
Out of curiosity, has the SECT Champ been successful making Omaha and/or winning the NC over the last 10-20 years?

Yeah that’s a hell of a confidence booster heading into Regionals getting absolutely spit roasted by the Hogs.
Hot take- Texas doesn’t make it out the Regionals. Book it.

yeah, I pretty much agree with that. I suppose Schloss has the excuse that Riojas needs to rest until regionals, but with Volantis and Harrison at full health, I'm still not sure about sending the signal that we're treating this game as a scrimmage. I don't see this lineup being good enough to just "turn it on" when it's time. combined with just Volantis and Cozart being the only pitchers you can fully trust, it feels pretty precarious.
that said, this team has usually been able to bounce back well. so we'll see.

I sure hope we don't take the night off like the sips just did. We have something to play for.

Plenty of time to develop young pitchers in Tuesday games. There should be no such thing as a throw away dgas whether we win or lose SEC conference game.

Well, it’s easier to say that you lost because you didn’t use your best pitcher.
It beats losing when you do use your best pitcher.
So this way you can keep that fantasy that you otherwise would’ve won…
