Yep. Head to head matters when records are the same or very close but in a sport where you play 60 games its not as important

I wouldn’t say Arkansas shite the bed.
Arkansas lost two one run games in Athens. Lost their starting second basemen early in the series and inserted someone with little to no experience. Wood came back that weekend on a very short and strict pitch count.
The aTm series was impacted by weather. Game times moved, double headers played, etc. it is what it is.
Florida series, Maxwell goes out with injury. Souza’s replacement at second goes down with back issues.
There are some reasons for a rough three week stretch other than just shutting the bed. It was also announced today that Parker Coil, the Hogs top prospect out of the pen will be 100% available this weekend at LSU. Coil hasn’t pitched since mid March and sports a sub 1 ERA.
Still without Maxwell, but this weekend coming up will be the healthiest Arkansas has been since mid season. DVH said Monday that Maxwell 'might be available' to face LSU this weekend.
Souza will have surgery and is done for the season. Wiggins didn’t tear anything but likely will be done for the season. Possibly can pitch in Omaha/late June.

Kentucky fell off hard with that 0-4 week and A&M should be fine with Mizzou due up. State have been on a tear since firing Lemonis. State still gets Mizzou in the final week too.

Yeah someone’s going to have to get them and be pissed.
Florida has a top 15 RPI and on a 13-2 (10-2) run. They’re definitely hot and worked themselves up to a 2 seed. They had a big uphill battle after starting off 1-11 in the SEC

Reminds me of Ole Miss back in 2022. They almost didn't even make the tournament but got hot right at the end of the season and just bulldozed their way to a natty.

Haha, so I did the research for National Seeds..
(1) Florida got screwed with that bracket in 2023
(2) They like to do rematches in the Super Regionals
Therefore, I think Texas A&M will 99.99% be matched up with Texas in the Super Regional, assuming Texas gets a National Seed

Yeah point being that the committee definitely do not go out of their way to avoid putting teams from the same conference paired in super regionals. They couldn’t even if they wanted to with us getting 12+ teams in the postseason
