Same amount of points for making the CWS as for making the CWS final?

Same # of additional points. The team in the CWS final would had already earned the 4 points from making the CWS.

A&M made the postseason 11/13 years before 1999 when it was much more difficult to make the postseason.
nah, you didn't have to play against gorilla ball like miss st did.

Of course you did... Wouldn't want the 1998 and 1997 CWS appearances by State to mess up your rankings...

again, the time frame he began with is when the tournament was expanded and included super regionals. if one of the parameters is super regional appearances, no one would get credit for anything pre-1999 and the numbers would be inconsistent. i don't think he did it as any slight on any one team.

well USC has double the national titles of anyone else, which, in your graph, would count for quite a bit. and for the sake of argument, Texas wasn't as strong in the 90s as they were prior and after

yeah 15 appearances and only 5 super regionals and 1 CWS appearance is pretty weak. Tennessee has more trips to Omaha

actually, the SWC was pretty strong in the 80s. texas was a thorn in lot of teams side.

Super Regionals
Tied with us I believe.

And Uncle, Texas beat us for the title in 2002, I think we may have been bounced in previous CWS by them too.

Yea Texas knocked us out in 2002 and the NCAA changed the format the next year. We came out the loosers bracket and was completely out of pitchers. Them and Arizona st. Beat us in the finals in 70s or 80s

I'll gladly take our national title added to our score
If we go back all time, SC really starts pulling away the distance b/w 2nd and 3rd place. We have two other CWS Runner Ups and several other CWS appearances and Regionals.

How in the hell do you have Arkansas ranked ahead of MSU? That's just most obvious in looking.
MSU has been to more CWS, 7 more regionals etc. Where did you find this garbage?
