I was comparing LSU's title appearances to ours since we have the same number of them.

All I was saying was that LSU won the majority of their titles when it was 1 game where we have done better since it's moved to a 3 game series (even though in our NC wins, we didn't need the 3 games). We will never know if USC could have made a comeback when we lost the first game and possibly have more NCs.

Too bad for SC I guess? I mean, we will never know if any of the teams since the first CWS till they made the change in 2003 would have come back and won after losing the first game correct? It just seems like a lame argument you are trying to make. Everybody played by the same rules, LSU won the day every time they had the opportunity, SC didn't until they changed the rules. Sorry it worked out like that.

I still wish OK State kicker kicked the field goal 6 inches to the right against Iowa state last season but it didn't happen and the rest is history. Nobody remembers Memphis was 5 points ahead against Kansas in the basketball championship game a couple years ago with seconds to go. And Miami is the WS Champ in 1996 and Alex Cora is still not laying on the infield if Worren Morris doesn't hit that HR in the bottom of the ninth inning. Clutch is clutch etc. etc.

Ok, it's a lame comparison I guess since you could make the same exact case for every team that has lost in the finals before 2003? After all we will never know if they would have won in 3? Makes it sound like you don't think it's legitimate.

dude I'm not discounting LSU's titles.

My point was that we have the same # of title appearances. it was a hypothetical that we could have come back and possibly have more NCs if it was different whereas LSU took care of business.

I am not taking the time to go back and look, but again, we could go back and say the same thing about every team since before 2003 that lost the one game in the finals, if they only would have taken care of business! There's probably even a couple other teams with 6 appearances as well. So congrats to all those teams I guess on making so many appearances?

I can't believe you are this stupid.

Why do you think I am knocking LSU? and it was never about any other teams. it was between LSU's dominance and ours.

LSU only won because of the old metal bats whereas USC has been dominant in the new bat age. how do you feel about that statement?

And yet we've still managed to slum our way to 3 CWS berths and 15 NCAA tourney apperances since we've been in the SEC. I think we'll survive.

Nah I am good bro. I just love how much it makes you wish so hard you had the hardware LSU had but trust me, JMorrison explained in detail to me how if only for a scheduling quirk in the CWS, USCe would be tied.

Alabama has 3 CWS and 14 NCAA appearances in the same time period and our program hasn't done much the last six years.
