This game should not only be banned from TV, but should actually be played in a secured bunker so that no one but those participating can actually see what's going on.

Nice! The best Big 12 program vs. the best SEC program.

We've got to win this one. I'm tired of people saying West Virginia is an upgrade over Mizzou. Don't need to give them the message board fodder.

Anyone that actually believes that is crazy. I wouldn't worry about that BS.

There is a reason the ACC passed on WVU, The SEC picked Missouri over WVU, and the Big 12 waited till it was almost out of options before adding them.

The Big 12 could have added them after Colorado left. They didn't.

The Big 12 could have added them after Nebraska left. They didn't

The Big 12 could have added them after A&M left. They didn't. Instead they added a small private school in a market they already had covered.

It wasn't until after Missouri left that the Big 12 was desperate enough to pick up WVU.

If they were such a great addition why did they wait all the way until after Missouri had left to add them?

I'm more interested in beating Bog Huggins. If I remember right his K-State team did pretty good against us.

2013 Big 12/SEC Challenge schedule (times and networks are to be determined):

Thursday, November 14
Texas Tech at Alabama

Monday, December 2
Vanderbilt at Texas
Auburn at Iowa State

Thursday, December 5
Ole Miss at Kansas State
West Virginia at Missouri
TCU at Mississippi State

Friday, December 6
South Carolina at Oklahoma State
Kentucky vs. Baylor (Arlington, Texas)

Tuesday, December 10
Kansas at Florida

Saturday, December 21
Texas A&M vs. Oklahoma (Houston, Texas)

I'm going to guess the winners for know as:
Alabama
Vanderbilt
Iowa State
Kansas State
Missouri
Miss State
Oklahoma State
Kentucky
Florida
Texas A&M

7-3 but I'm being a bit of a homer so it will probably be more like 6-4.

I wonder how the SEC decided which teams to include? I would think they would have wanted Tennessee and LSU in this year.

We should have partnered up with the Pac 12 instead of the Big 12. Big or ACC would have been best since they are closer in the amount of members but since they already have a challenge going we should have picked the league with 12 teams over the one with 10.

We already usually play Texas and/or OU every year anyway.

We've recently played A&M (pre SEC) and Texas Tech, too.

Kansas made their bones in the old Big 8 conference

Kentucky has 8 NC's and Gators have 2 NC's

Bless your little Gator heart for thinking the Gators are elite in basketball like UK and KU.

In the past decade we have played these big12 schools:

Baylor
Texas
OU
Okie State
TTU
Mizzou
aTm

Home and homes, in Dallas, and in LR.

Why wasn't UT invited? They are traditionally one of the better SEC basketball teams and should be pretty good next year. Plus, they have one of the bigger basketball fan-bases. It seems a little odd to leave them out.

UF was in the elite 8 last year....where was UK, they wanted to pair 2 teams that they knew would deserve the ranking they start the year with, instead of pre-season #1 to NIT.

Recovering from winning the National Championship the year before. Did you not read the UK Police Scanner thread?

UK is already the pre season #1 pick and the favorite to cut down the nets in march 2014. Exactly where are the gators ranked in the 2013 - 2014 pre season polls?

Even when the SEC/BigEast challenge was going on, not all the teams from the SEC played in it, even tho the BigEast had more than enough teams to make it happen.

Arkansas played Louisville (in St. Louis), Syracuse at home, and at UCONN during that "challenge".

I'm pretty sure they try to match up the teams as evenly as possible during these "challenges", the big12 is a very top heavy league.

Other than the KU-UF game, those matchups are disappointing.
