Absolute JOKE if they don’t make ND join a league. They have no leverage! You don’t want to join a league? Great, this is only for teams in a conference

I believe ands following is their leverage.

The only way to do it:

The top 32 teams in a league, a la NFL.

The next best 32 in a league.

The next best 32. Etc.

Bottom 8 in a league drop down a league each year, top 8 in a league move up each year.

I feel like all teams should play week 0 and bowl games need to be played week 0 and count towards CFP rankings. You would have great matchups. Those that don’t make a bowl could play other non bowl teams. That would help with the opt outs.

Looks like SEC will go to 9 game schedule. Not sure I like that

We came here for the matchups.

We didn't come here to watch y'all play Furman and Mercer.

I think it was a JP YT video that was saying it would be better to have SEC/B1G matchups in the po instead of during the season.

They should dissolve the conferences and go to a regional construct. Any team that is part of the new league must pay a $50M annual fee and consent to a draft with contracts. Everyone else can move down to D2 ...

It's the NFL lite. It might as well act like it.

Try working out a schedule rotation that could change every year.

Where do you define regional lines?

Should be no auto qualifiers, but all Power 4 conferences should have two full power conference Challenges each year, and all other teams who want to be in the playoff should have to play a minimum of three Power Conference teams. Who is good then becomes clear- like SEC 14 bs ACC 2 in hoops this year. That ratio will show in tourney selection for hoops.

Depends on which teams actually put up the money to play in the new league. My guess is only 30 or so are capable ...

That’s easy. You don’t play the same teams every year. There’s no place for fixed schedules in today’s football.

So how/when do you set schedules if teams may change?

& how do you determine who plays who?

Also, what about rivalries if 1 team changes groups…are they still played?

I do not think the sec expands any further west Than Norman or Austin.

I agree with you. If they have to, the only possibility out west would be Oklahoma State.

University of kansas isn't wanted by either conference for obvious reasons. They could always drop to Division 2 where they actually belong.

Your post states continuous swapping the bottom 8 of the upper group with the top 8 of the lower group.

I'm asking HOW can you create a decent schedule if you have that much change each year & who gets to play whom?

OU and Texas both knew it was all about to change it’s probably the main reason we joined … The power has shifted to sec and big ten. If both our schools were still stuck in big 12 we would be making about 25 mil less than we are now . With us being in the sec both OU and Texas will be north of 250 mil in revenue in 2025 . Let’s see if Texas athletic department can’t actually make money instead of being in the red with the extra revenue!

I get all that.

This post is about changing 16 teams yearly.
For example, for each group of 8 moving, HOW are the other 24 decided to be played?
&, if you have uneven # games, does that cycle continue with the other group (say you played 4H/5A this season & swapped groups, do you have 5H/4A next season)?
