Murray is really good. He is easily the best freshman QB we've seen in the SEC in a very long time. He will be better than Stafford, Shockley and Geene (already better than Stafford IMHO).
It's hard for me to be impressed with Tyler Bray when his first pass in the USC game was a pick-6 to defensive end Devin Taylor. I realize he put up great numbers on our secondary after that -- but so has every other QB not named John Brantley, including a not particularly good QB named Matt Simms. Bray's other big games were against Memphis and the Black Bears -- their secondaries are even worse than USC's.
Murray is completing 61% with 21 TD's and only 6 picks -- against a full schedule. Bray is completing 54% with 10 TD's and 3 picks -- against mostly bad pass defenses. This is a no-brainer.

What a difference a redshit year makes.
Like I said in another thread, Murray may end up having the better college career, but I think Bray is a better Pro Prospect.
Bray is playing behind three true freshman on the O - Line. If you can't appreciate the way he's played the last two and a half games you aren't watching.
Plus that interception was his first pass of the game.
The way he came right back, and three 2 TD's says a lot about the poise of an 18 true freshman.
Since that pick he's thrown for over 800 yards and 10 tds

It looked like Ole Miss was trying to kill Bray early on. I believe Bray will be putting up better numbers than Murray in 2012 when he has what should be a great offensive line, what will likely be a great set of receivers, and hopefully a good running back as well.

Bray got VERY LUCKY v.s. Ole Miss some of his passes were tipped and then caught by his team.
Murray is sooooo much better.
Stafford was better than Murray but by the time Murray is a sr. that may not be true.

You mean 1 of his passes
I know you are an NFL quality scout and what not, so I choose to agree with you.

Only one of Bray's passes was touched by an Ole Miss defender, his first pass of the game. Must have missed it scouting other players though.

I'll say this: if you haven't seen Bray play a game yet, I would encourage you to do this. Even if you don't wanna watch UT play Vandy, just DVR it and watch it. Bray passes the eyeball test.
Note: I would not be going out on a limb like this if I thought this kid was just a rich man's Erik Ainge, or something of that sort. No no. Much different. Real deal holyfield.

I agree with you I watched his last game and he showed some poise and made some great throws. I was impressed and once he got some confidence he is really going off. I think he is legit...Just Murray been starting all year and making great plays too of course with AJ, but his throws are good.

Murray is the only SEC QB i've seen this year that i wish we had in Petrino's offense next year. The kid would be unstoppable. Thank goodness he will be off our schedule rotation the next few years.
He throws well and runs well, but the bottom line is, the kid has brass balls for a true freshman that most quarterbacks don't get til their 3rd or 4th year in college.

Too bad Tennessee is still fudged for another two years.

Tenner's oline is gonna be nasty in a couple years. Should be something similar to the Aubbie oline this year cept not as well paid.
