They don't. Joe still has more yards and TDs than Cam in less games.

What made Cam so lethal was he could throw and rush. Same thing with Tebow.

And Burrow is more lethal regardless.

I would just laugh too. There is no way to know the answer to that hypothetical, which is why yall are using them to prop up cam.

Allen was a DE. Unless I put him as a DT he has to go over either Clowney or Garrett. That is two #1 picks. Who do you suggest he replace?

I’d put him over Clowney and maybe even Garett.

Clowney has a tendency to disappear at times and is living off that fluke hit in the bowl game vs Michigan.

I pretty Much said it’s not laughable to have the discussion and Cam Newton’s 2010 season is one of the greatest I’ve ever seen.

But people forget that Cam had a veteran OL, 5* RB and was in a great system for him

People forget that the read options was still cutting edge when Cam was running it

His stats are all better than Cam's outside of rushing, which is not the primary goal of a QB.

The primary goal of a QB is to effectively run whatever offense the coaches implement, score points, and win games.

I'd even argue that rushing yards from a QB are more impactful than passing yards for a QB because they act as more of a force multiplier, opening up the passing and running game and thus making the entire team better.

Even if LSU wins the natty I think Cam gets the nod. He took a team that was more than a bit less talented than this LSU squad and made them a force. Not very many can do that.

Clowney was a physical specimen but agreed he disappeared at times in college. I agree there is an argument for Allen over Garrett but I don't think I'd have Allen there.

These types of lists are almost impossible.

That would be the most foolish argument one can make

I love LF but his performances vs Bama should keep him off the list.

Hell when on the same field Derrick Henry outrushed him like 230 to 30.

Otherwise I would say cams 10th of the decade was better than Burrows

That's fine, but there's no measurable statistic to back it up. Unless you just want a running QB

I would say at best Cams was equal to Joes. Not better.

That said, while I would but Joe first, a legit argument can be made for Cam.

If Tebow was in this decade, I'm guessing yall would put Burrow in over Tebow also.

I would not, because Tebow sustained it. So there ya go...

And that's my point. If Burrow wasn't even considered seven months ago, is what he's done in 7 months literally more impacting than any other qb who has played 7 months in the conference this decade

Who gives a shite what was written 7 months ago.

Burrow had one of the greatest seasons in college football history and he’s not done yet.

Just because it wasn’t expected doesn’t make it less.

If you’d put Cam ahead of Burrow fine, he had a season for the ages as well.

But you can’t take away from what Burrow did just because some article written before the season didn’t think he was good.

Look at what Cam did with an average Auburn offense. That was special.

2010 also didn't dominate teams like LSU has this year.

What records is he setting again?

In the history of the NFL, only two quarterbacks have ever strung together three or more consecutive seasons with 4,500+ passing yards, 25+ touchdown passes, while maintaining a completion percentage above 66.0. One is Peyton, the other is Matt.

Again, these stats say he is the best. But he clearly isnt.

Most definitely. There will always be debate about these and fans upset that their team's not represented.
