Arky had practically the best team in the country give or take twice to three times in that span.

True, but LSU/Arkansas last year felt more like the finals than Coastal did. Just a shame they ended up on the same side of the bracket.

2018 wasn't his best team. They played the same opponents in the CWS as in the regular season. OSU was the better team but the second game was the first of many future meltdowns from that point on.
The third game was worse. DVH instead of rallying the troops, he let his team go into depression mode and lost 5-0.
In 2019, they went 0-2 in Omaha.
In 2021 won the SEC and the tournament, they had another meltdown in the supers against NCST.
In 2022, they finished 3rd in Omaha.
In 2023, they won the SEC and got bounced of a regional.
In 2024, they again got bounced out of a regional.
In 2025, the best team in the DVH era and we all know how that ended.
This year, once again got bounced out of a regional.

Those Oregon St teams were stout. They had it going on for a bit there.

That's probably the last CWS appearance for DVH. I want to be wrong but he doesn't have much left in the tank.
You can only take and absorb so many meltdowns before it starts becoming exhausting and your confidence begins to drop.
If I was him, I would retire on a positive note.

I know. After 100 times seeing the Shaddy drop gif, both styles, I was like wait, is that... am I seeing things? That skinny boy gave it all he had to show some booby and distract for sure
