I don’t see that as some wild or crazy theory.
because it is easy to debunk

You can book it people everywhere outside the south would use Auburn and Alabama losses today to argue the SEC is not a dominant conference.
So?

As i mentioned before in the 2016-17 season, the ACC went 9-3 in bowls, 4-1 vs the SEC and Clemson won the National Title. 2 ACC teams finished in the top 10 vs 1 for the SEC. and yes, there were people saying the ACC had caught up, that it had the better year (which is true) that it was an elite FB conference. And the very next year, 2 SEC teams made the playoff, though frankly i don't know why you want that, did you enjoy 2011? I understand you are saying in a scenario where LSU goes 11-1 and doesn't win the SEC we could still get in. This is a very unlikely scenario and not worth worrying about and the outcome of some random bowl games will have no impact.

I’ll pull for Auburn and Georgia, but have never and will never pull for Alabama. frick them and Saban. If they never win another game, it’ll be too soon

SEC stinking it up so far today. Advantage Clemson—they knocked off the best team from the conference that is giving two blue-bloods all they want so far.

if your hypothetical were to occur (11-1 Michigan and LSU), you really think they are leaving LSU out if they look at this year's results like you keep suggesting
The thing he's missing is, it will depend on how things look THAT season and how and who those teams played IN THAT SEASON. The year Ohio State went at 11-1 without winning the BIG, they played 4 teams in that season's top 10 and beat 3 of them, including OU who won the Big 12. The rankings are not based on the perception of the conference but on the record of the teams in a given season not the previous year's bowls

Didn’t read.

Well shite, I guess it is free coconut shrimp to go along with my seared prime rib tomorrow. I wanted the blooming onion. It is just as good the second day with the sauce they have.

Im pulling for the SEC this year. Even Bama. I usually would not pull for Bama but the OP is absolutely right. The SEC needs to show it is the best conf. It makes a huge difference when selecting playoff teams.

Yes, that’s why the ACC has had a team in every year

In any event no one judges the conference “strength” based on bowl games outside of message board fans.

Clemson barely beat NC
There's absolutely nothing to gain from caring bowl games to regular season.

I always pull for SEC teams. Even Bama in the natty’s we weren’t in.
If the conference is good it’s good for LSU. Better recruits, better talent, more respect nationwide.
I hope every SEC team wins their bowl games
I think most people do - just not the vocal minority on this board.
Do they really want to play in a conference where every other team loses every OOC and bowl game?
I want to play in the toughest conference in the nation. That means the other SEC teams kicking arse.
