Serious question...since the SEC is a football-only conference where all other sports are the shitty half time intermission show between seasons, are there any real basketball rivalries in this conference?

Or does anyone other than Kentucky care about basketball?

You're clearly never seen a SEC baseball season.

And yes. And most have more Final Fours then yours.

The only real basketball rivalries are usually football rivalries that carry over and whomever is above-average at the time versus Kentucky

LSU and Arkansas are top 10 in NCAA championships. UF and UGA has done well.

UK and whoever else is doing good, basically.

Football only conferences don't win national championships in basketball, baseball, track, golf, and so on.

The SEC is weak in basketball, but having the best team (UK) helps us, and adding Mizzou and A&M should help the competitive balance.

There are plenty of great basketball programs in the SEC. And you've obviously overlooked baseball. It's a money generating sport at many SEC schools.

Basketball season is ok.

Baseball is really big in the SEC too. Probably more so than basketball. I know Ole Miss and LSU averaged higher attendance at their baseball games than basketball games last year.

How many basketball titles does Arkansas have?

To that point, LSU has been number one in attendance for baseball for over a decade. I know baseball is a revenue-generating sport for LSU, Florida, and South Carolina. The same can't be said for hundreds of schools across the country.

I would go so far as the SEC has the best football, basketball, and baseball coach in the country.

So essentially there are no basketball rivalries in the SEC. Well that sucks.

That's pretty much it as far as the conference goes. Everyone else draws a higher attendance for basketball.

Well, it'll be nice to watch conference baseball teams that'll supply the Cardinals with our future championship players.

I addressed the first part of your OP generalizing sports.

If talking baseball and basketball, the conference has done quite well in both.

There may be 3-4 schools that place baseball higher than basketball. Overall, the conference cares a lot more about basketball.

UF/UK maybe, although it's one-sided in our favor.

I consider UA/MSU a rivalry in basketball.
