Vols did better than that from 1951-1998. = 47 years.

Posts like this say more about the poster than the target. Clearly the 1980 talk scarred some Georgia fans for life.

It’s 26 years for a conference title. That’s what makes it so bad.

That’s truly abysmal. Has to be the longest stretch between conference titles for any of the big 6, no????

Would have been nice to see what UT could do in the playoffs, but they got the team no one was going to beat in round 1.

Wouldn't even have that one if FSU had thier starting QB.They beat a QB that had never played a down of football.

You give us far too much credit. He was a Croatian student who had just moved to the US and had never seen a football in his life. Bobby Bowden took him from the stands, and Rooster actually thought he was coming to the field to play soccer.

And Tee Martin is still > Peyton Manning

Turns out you didn't have to throw the ball 100 times in a game to finally beat Florida.

Yep and fricking Plaxico Burress.

Funny what sticks in your head. I can still remember John Cooper throwing Joe Germaine under the bus after the game and probably rightly so. his fumble let them back in the game and he threw a pick on the last drive.

I can also remember Plaxico Burress going crazy the next year as the Spartans upset #3 Michigan. Lloyd Carr put in David Terrell to try and do something and Burress proceeds to completely pancakes him on a sweep run play block.

26 years isn't too bad even for big time programs in college football. Notre Dame's last title is 1988.

ND is not a big time program

IMO, the terrible punt by Sparty that hit an Ohio State defender running downfield in the back is what let them back in the game but it was sort of a comedy of errors that led to that loss.

But, it's been a while.

That was a great Ohio State team. Tough one to lose at the time.

Is this bargaining or acceptance? I think acceptance. Good on you, apathetic Vol.

Boy ole boy maw, can we scoot the TV up to the kitchen table and put in the Tennessee movie?
Cousin Cody said he wants to come watch it too!

Back-to-back is pretty damn sweet.
Tennessee went 47 years between titles and now the current drought of 26 years.
That's what I call pain.
