Every school in the SEC and country ripped off Auburn’s Tiger Walk. We were the first and around the 1980’s the SEC began copying it and know the whole country does it.

Checker board end zones were all the rage for many universities back in the 30’s and 40’s. They then went out of style. Tennessee was the only school that kept the Purina Dog Chow look.

I wanna know how the 1st person even came up with the color "burnt orange" & goes....."Hey - I like that!".

If your mascot is burnt orange and white then it makes sense. Tenner is dreamsicle orange. Thing is, you see a lot of rip off combos or teams that have the same colors but with a different combo. I personally don't know of another team that has burnt orange for their color.

It's literally the title of the thread.

Alabama "adopted" Rammer Jammer from Hotty Toddy

The lyrics originate from The Rammer-Jammer, a student newspaper in the 1920s, and the yellowhammer, Alabama’s state bird. The cadence of the cheer was adapted from the Ole Miss cheer “Hotty Toddy” after then Ole Miss marching band director Dr. James Ferguson was appointed director of the Million Dollar Band. The cheer was long referred to as “Ole Miss”, and today the drum major’s signal is still the motioning of one arm in a full circle (an ‘O’).

Great. Now Ole Miss will hang another banner.

In fairness to Clemson, John Heisman took the Auburn colors and Tiger mascot to Clemson. They did modify the blue to purple which I do not understand. Also, Dr. Petrie (who was Auburn's first coach and wrote the Auburn Creed) was a Virginia grad and brought their colors to Auburn.

Wow!!! You're right! So if Auburn played UT Martin, it would basically look like a lopsided Varsity v Freshman team intrasquad game.

From Clemson's Tigernet.com:

"Walter Merritt Riggs formed Clemson's first football team in 1896. Because Riggs had come from Agricultural and Mechanical College of Alabama (later renamed Auburn), he borrowed ideas from their team colors, orange and purple, and their mascot, the Tiger."

By the time Riggs suited up his players, some of the practice jerseys that he brought from Auburn had faded from dark blue to a purple. Here is an example:
