Do you all remember when Alabama used to be left out of the top 25 every year, and every year we thought we should be included? Sure am glad that changed.

I can't compete with the Ginger Prophet. He knows all.

P.S. Don't forget to tell everyone he's not a ginger.

ETA: Arky at 15?

Bad decision.

What happened to the last two SEC teams that had no defense yet were ranked highly in the preseason?

Georgia? 08, 09.

08 came into the season ranked the #1 team in the nation still went 10-3 and finished in the top 25, but the defense killed them in their three losses.

09 Georgia came into the preseason ranked #20 or so, and quickly disappointed. They had to upset Georgia Tech to keep from going 6-6 in the regular season.

You've got to play defense to be a top 15 team in the SEC. You also have to get QB play. Arkansas does have that going for them, I guess.

Decent half against Bama

Down 14-0 at the half, and under a 100 total yards, is decent? Of course, I guess that looks better than the 35-7 final.

This x 100

And from the looks of Arkansas's recruiting class, it doesn't look like they have any studs to come in and help them on that side of the ball either.

Not true. That's why we signed two kickers. Onside Kicks!

Let's face it, whether the opposing team gets it on the 20 or the 40, they will probably get some points on the Arkansas defense. Why not onside kick it everytime to give the offense an extra possession or two?

That's actually a good argument. I could see UGA and USCe duking it out for second behind UF.

Actually I think UGA is going to be the suprise of the SEC this year. Bama/LSU vs UGA in the SECCG

We improved from the 12th scoring defense to the 9th from '08 to '09.

If we improve from the 9th to the 6th, this year, we'll be right in the fight for the West.

I see no reason we can't improve that much. We had a great class last year and they'll all have had a chance to grow up. Plus, we'll have legit depth on the DL for the first time in my life.

Byran Jones and Chris Smith are studs and will contribute as true freshman. I also thing Lacraig Brown may play early. Calvin Barnett will too only if eligible which may be a long shot.

That's because Tubberville and Crooms were replaced by Gene Chizik and Dan Mullen. You guys got worse in yardage. Your defense was worse than last year, but you got a lot of big takeaways and didn't turn the ball over.

You won't go +10 in turnovers every year. The odds are just against you.

3rd year with Willy coaching the defense will be interesting to say the least....

This could be his best or his last!

Yeah...considering ya'll scored on one of the best runs I've seen and then a busted play. 14-7 in the beginning of 3rd...Then the long TD...It was over then

BS...Jones and Barnett if he qualifies. Those are 2 big bodies in the middle that could help any team

The fact that you think our defense was worse in '09 than '08 says it all.

You are too stupid/ignorant/stubborn/whatever to even argue with.

The most important stat is that we were 6 points per game lower. And we got a lot of turnovers this year. Last year people held the fact we couldnt get turnovers against us, now its because we got turnovers we gave up less points.

No one is arguing that our defense was great, but look at the Florida game from this year compared to last. They improved throughout the season. That was our MO, get turnovers and give up big plays, lol.
