Glad to see a SC fan that understands our view.

Games in Tennessee and Virginia were played today. They had the same rain as SC.

Should have played the second game when we had the window last night. Instead we punked out, simple as that. Last night was a light drizzle from 7-10 could have easily got at least 5 innings in there, but instead we bitched out. I absolutely hate our admin and staff, I wanted that rubber match regardless if we win or lost.

That game couldn't have been played last night ... I was there, we drove back and stayed in the area hoping it could be played, but there was no way in hell. There was lightning in the area to-boot.

I normally agree with you Mike but you're wrong about this. Matter of fact, I was there with Hank. He had driven all the way there to meet us when he left The Masters.

No way it could have been played. No way they could have gotten 5 innings-in. And, had they tried, and had someone torn a ligament slipping and sliding, or had someone come away sick, or had any of the fans had a major issue because of the weather ... it would have been bad.

I wasn't there so I'll take your word but 247 guy at the field at around 7ish said it was a light drizzle...and I did look at radar and looked like we could get it in.

I feel like we should put together a reference key for all of those turns of phrase that so many people frick up badly.
Like, here is what your meth-eaten brain thinks is the phrase…here is the ACTUAL phrase.
It’s not even so much that things get badly mangled as much as it is these folk put this shite out on the webs confidently, without even doing themselves the courtesy of a simple search on “th’ Googles” to save themselves from appearing retarded.

I have to admit mind-bottling was a new one.

There was like a gap in the rain, for twenty minutes or so, between 7 and 7:30. We walked outside and it was drizzling and then we looked at the radar and by 7:30 it was a gully washer again.

By 7:50 it was coming down so hard you could see it in the lights in the ballpark.

That game would have never been able to even get 4 and a half hours in. By 8PM they killed the lights and we were told to start shutting down the luxury boxes.

We got soaked making it out to the parking lot. We drove back in a driving rainstorm, ended up eating and drinking at Angelo's, and has not stopped raining until literally just a few minutes ago.

Just heard on the national weather service on shortband that this Midlands area received over 5" of rain in the past 48 hours ... that's flood worthy.

Multiple weather stations on Weather Underground show it was raining from about 3 pm onwards on Friday:

Could they have played anyway? Maybe. But clearly neither coach felt passionately enough about trying to play last night.

Don’t both coaches have a say in how this was determined?

LSU fans are really upset about this. Does that mean the Carolina/LSU baseball rivalry is back to normal?

I live right by the ballpark...it wasnt a light drizzel and the field would have already been soaked.

yes the guy who wasnt there agrees with you...

There is zero reason for SC to not want to play that game. It hurts us none to lose that game, and helps us a lot to win it. LSU probably just didnt want to lose another pitcher to injury...

we all wanted the rubber match

Despite the many times that sportscasters say it, the proper term is Rubber GAME.

There is no such thing as a Match in baseball.

The Rubber (from the game of bridge) is the 3 GAME series and the baseball GAME that breaks a tie and decides the Rubber or series is the Rubber GAME.
