I don't care about A&M, Texas, Arkansas, Mizzou, or Oklahoma. I don't mean that in a negative way, but the only meaning those games have is as a conference game.

I'd rather play the Joke by Coke, Clemson, or even FSU or one of the North Carolina ACC teams before playing teams located on the other side of the Mississippi River. I'd hope Clemson, GT, or NCST fans would rather want to see their team play Georgia over SMU, Cal, or Stanford.

Regionalism used to be what made CFB great. Throwing that away so Georgia can play at College Station isn't something I'm at all interested in. Give me a home and home vs. a formidable team in this area vs. a trip to Norman, OK every other year.

How dare us keep 2 of the SEC’s OLDEST rivalries going.

that's rich coming from the school that wants to change the location of one of the SEC's oldest rivalries.

9 game SEC schedule?

I thin it is retarded for the simple fact that teams with 5 home games have an advantage over teams with 4 home games every year. should be an even playing field every year for teams in a conference.

Agree 100%. In reality, the 9th game should be a neutral site...

ESPN is about to have a major overhaul of how it spends and gets money.

They are getting a new boss, he is not a sports guy but a money guy. ESPN is no longer the cash cow it once was back in the cable days.

Now, they are an asset not performing. I would expect more changes happening with some of these big TV deals.

This sucks. Some of these matchups are really fun, but gone are the days of OOC big name games. With bowl games being a shell of what they used to be you don't even get it there anymore.

I am hoping that the bubble on this pops, and maybe we return to some normality

More even SOS within the conference.

You need connectivity to really get a fair sense of SOS. Without OOC connectivity, you end up with a bunch of conferences talking about how strong they are, but in reality they may not actually be.

You can't keep adding teams to a conference and still want to keep all your every year rivalries. Blame conference realignment for that. The 9 game schedule doesnt exactly fix that mistake

I think at this point everyone should put all their sports in a regional conference except football. Split fbs again and have top 50 or so programs be the new fbs. Let a commissioner create everyone’s schedule.

You enjoyed people griping about the time between matchups?

The SEC being terrible at scheduling didn't mean they needed to add an extra conference game though. The idea that you need to play every single conference school over 4 years is ridiculous anyways. These days students are averaging 5-6 years for graduate degrees and all players are on one years deals. Who does forcing more rotation even benefit at this point? All it's really going to do is interrupt rivalries fans actually give a shite about.
