That shite is beyond fricked up.
For those of you that haven't heard,

Yep...now you know why Aggies have long regarded Baylor as one of the most if not THE most corrupt programs in the NCAA...all behind the mask of a "Christian environment", which makes it even worse

Like I said, for all the crying about schools paying players, the shite I've seen at Baylor in just my lifetime should've been enough to shut them down.
And don't even get me started on the school as a Baptist organization while being one of the most corrupt athletic departments in the country. Talk about spitting in the face of what your University is supposed to represent.

Every University has people that do that. It isn't unique to Baylor.

You're not kidding.
Baylor is the worst kind of scum. A lot of their athletic administration should be in jail at this point.

I'm going to take facilitating players murdering each other and raping students as a smidge more than just stepping outside the lines.

Not every university tries to be the Notre Dame for baptists.

From the Texas Monthly article just before the season, and based on how completely quiet this has been over the season -- the Waco Police are also in on the cover-up.
It's awful and inexcusable.

Well yea, I'd consider it more severe than spitting in the face too. Not sure how I mixed up spitting in the face with rape and murder.

So you're saying that Baylor is basically the Penn State of the Big 12?

Who can forget FSU and their rape cover ups?
Title 9 investigations still ongoing.
Tallahassee police is just as bad.

Very true.
We laugh at Ole Miss because everyone gets laughed when something happens in the SEC but that is nothing near enabling rapists.
Briles literally cut deals with more than one devil to have the success he has had.

At least they're trying to be better than most

People love to hate on super religious types because they see a lot of hypocrisy. I just find the hate amusing. Those super religious types are trying to stand up for what they believe in, but they many times fail. Other non religious people can fail all the time, but aren't hated on because they're not trying to be religious.

What? You're not trying to be better than most when you label yourself as a good Christian Unversity and you actively support an Athletic Department that supports rapists and helped facilitate the murder of a student-athlete. If the University was truly trying to represent Baptists, they wouldn't allow their AD to get away with some of the shite it does.

Or they'd rather not see their religion misrepresented by hypocrites. That's half the problem with the interpretation of Christians today, people/organizations working in the name of religion when it's quite the opposite.
ETA: I see a lot of Baptists who are not fans of Baylor for this reason. And rightfully so.

I'll be perfectly honest with you, I was never too keen on these Texas "Christian" schools such as Baylor, TCU, and SMU (particularly the first two). They use the "Christian" image as a front, but in reality, it is nothing but a thinly visible veil. Some of the slimiest, shadiest, snake oil salesman people I know have graduated from these schools.
I truly didn't let my children even ponder these three "schools".

Non-religious types aren't self-righteous teetotaling hippocrates who tell other "sinners" they are going to hell.
