Agree 90%. The resurgence would have been delayed certainly, and the number of championships we've had would definitely not be the same, but at some point Shula was gonna get shitcanned, and I feel like we can always have success if we make even a decent hire.

I agree. Tebow picking Bama wouldn't have been good for anyone.

this cannot be said enough. I think the cosmic scales are finally equaling out a little for a past coaching debacle ie choosing curry over Bobby Bowden

if Tebow went to Bama, Shula keeps his job at Bama for a while. mediocrity continues, no Nick Saban. and UF doesn't win 06 and 08 NC without Tebow.

Would have been pretty damn interesting to see what Cam would have done at Florida with no Tebow in front of him.

The Mrs and my daughter absolutely love Tebow. Prior to last year they couldn't have given two rips about the NFL.Now all of the sudden they're huge Denver fans.

this is why tebow presents a huge quandary for denver. not a great nfl qb, but has done just enough to be ok & give the casual bronco fan hope that he can improve (hmmmmm on that) and he brings in a huge viewership. people who have never given a rip about the nfl, much less denver, will watch because they are tebow fans.

will be interesting to see how it plays out.

and, btw, i do think that he is the "real deal" as far as his faith and how he lives it. he seems to really have a quiet faith. it's the media that has shoved him & his beliefs down our throats...and, i am not by any means a right wing christian, just admire whomever lives, not just talks, their beliefs.

Exactly. I'm an agnostic, and have no stake in his beliefs or how he exercises them whatsoever, but I admire his character, and how he is fulfilling his understanding of Jesus' word.

I love Tebow as well, I know he made the right decision in his mind in how the BAMA fans mocked him when he cried in the SEC Championship game against Alabama that day in Atlanta. That was disgusting watching them ridicule him. He is a passionate guy about football and life.

Read the whole thing. I'm slowly becoming a Tebow fan there's been plenty of times he could have been exposed as a fraud, but he keeps staying true.

We're all jaded when it comes to pro athletes and the image that is sold to us, because it usually comes out that they are horrible people IRL. I root for the guy, but I do wish all of those groups that go overseas to do good works would start first here at home and stop using the religion as an excuse to travel abroad. Go help build some churches in rural Arkansas, drill water wells in Appalachia, build homes in the 8th ward, clean up some urban neighborhoods in Detroit.

it was disgusting for us to cheer our team relegating a college football legend to crying, but of course lsu fans are above that kind of nonsense.

lsu fans praise tebow
