Ump just hosed Bama. 2 on 2 out, 3-2 pitch and the ball was middle-in belt high. ABS in MLB would have just embarrassed him. Bases loaded now when inning should be over.

Ump just totally changed the game. OU scores 2 on ground ball to 2nd on crazy play. Should be overturned to 1 run but the score should be 3-1 headed to the 6th

Finally our offense is on enough that pitching doesn’t have to be Maddux level good to keep us in it.

No.
OU scored 1. What happened is with bases full and 2 outs the OU runner ran past 2nd base. This allowed a run to score. Bama then tagged him out.
Had he slowed down to slide he would have been out. It was smart to run past as being safe allowed the run to score. Then Bama tagged him out to end inning.
Smart base running. Bama up 3-2
IF OU could skip to 2nd inning in conf play we might be undefeated. Its astonishing to me how we come out flat every damn game.

That last batter for South Carolina didn't have a chance.
1) Bottom of 9th, Texas up 4-1, 2 outs, nobody on.
2)Texas pitching had struck out 8 of the last nine outs.
3) The home plate umpire must have been hungry and wanted to go home. If the Texas catcher caught a pitch without it hitting the ground, it was going to be a strike.
Never had a chance.

Yes. The missed strike on the 3-2 count that the announcers replayed and said it was clearly strike 3 changed the game and allowed the run to score. Not sure you understand what you were saying no to.

Bama with 3 straight series wins against ranked SEC teams. Bama softball takes the series against the #1 Longhorns. It’s Easter weekend and Ttown is God’s country. B12 additions now know that

Never said anything about base running. Said it was a crazy play, that scored 2 runs but Bama’s challenge would change to 1 run scored and that the umps blown strike 3 call cost the run that would stand. It wasn’t a borderline pitch, it was one of the clearest strikes all game and a substantially better pitch than at least 2 called strike 3s against OU later in the game (could have been make up calls, but doubt it).
Of course umps make mistakes, but ones that are that clear in high leverage situations should be very rare. Need ABS in college as soon as it’s financially feasible.

It ended ip not mattering. OU has started so many games giving up runs. And then chip away only to come up short. Its madness.
Congrats Bama on a good series. We really needed that game to get even in conf and are now 5-7. 18 more games to fix this shitty start to games trend. It sucks as a fan because we are so close. And I’m hoping we can figure it out.

Well Bama took the series from OU in softball last year at Bama but it didn't matter OU still won the conference

I hope you guys do too and win the majority of the games left on your schedule! OU is one of the top non-Bama SEC teams I’ll pull for. You and MSU are near the top (Vandy would be up there if not for that wretched baseball whistler).

True, and UTx has a good chance of still winning the conference. Still a great series win by Bama on a glorious Easter weekend.
