Arkansas is very good and a well rounded team. Top offensive team in the league and a top 3 pitching staff in the league.
The last three weekends that Arkansas lost series, included two one run games, an extra inning game…a series hampered by weather and a split double header…and traveling east to a different time zone and losing a close series. All the while being hit by the injury bug while Wood just came back from being out nearly 8 weeks.
Texas is good. You don’t run out to a 19-3 SEC record and not be solid. But unlike Arkansas, if their pitching is a no show for a game or a series, they don’t have the offensive firepower necessary against a very solid opposing staff. Arkansas has had a few teams like that over the past few years. The 2021 team comes to mind. Insane staff. Ran through the SEC like a hot knife through butter. Won the SECt as well, then faced a red hot hitting team in supers and couldn’t keep up. That squad was #1 in the nation for most of the season and the overall #1 seed.
