LSU trying a new Sunday starter, hit the back stop with first pitch. :)

Scoreless first for Bama.

you swing and miss on a 3-0 pitch, you should be called out.

RPI Top 7 (record vs each other)

5-7 #1 Georgia
Upcoming: None

8-1 #2 Texas
Upcoming: 3 @ Hogs

4-5 #3 Vanderbilt
Upcoming: 3 @ Vols

5-7 #4 Auburn
Upcoming: 3 @ Vols

0-0 #5 Tennessee
Upcoming: @ LSU @ Hogs vs AUB vs V

1-5 #6 LSU
Upcoming: 3 vs Hogs 3 vs Vols

4-2 #7 Arkansas
Upcoming: 3 vs Texas, 3 @ LSU 3 vs Vols

All teams play at least 12 games vs each other, with Arkansas and Auburn playing 15.

Texas plays 9 at home. Everyone else plays 6 at home. This is the argument. You’re welcome.

this is a special Tejas team..

we have a good team no doubt, but we do benefit from only playing 3 of those 12 games on the road..

Home Team = 21-6
Away Team = 6-21

so far..

eta: it’s only a 1-2 game difference though.. so we’d probably still be on top of the standings, but it also would depend on which team swapped.. if it’s Auburn, I think we might go 2-1 vs them away.. if it’s Georgia, I think we go 1-2 or 2-1 as they struggle against good pitching

but then there is the other side of the argument.. A&M might be playing better than anyone right now..

0-3 @ Vanderbilt
2-1 @ Tennessee
2-1 @ Arkansas
?? @ Texas
?? @ Georgia

that road schedule is brutal

but they are also 4-5 at home

0-3 vs Alabama
1-2 vs Kentucky
3-0 vs SC
?? vs LSU
?? vs Mizzou

TLDR: Good teams play well on the road and at home. They also sometimes play bad on the road and at home.

Nice shot. Bama 3-0.

LSU catcher needs to quit checking for a swing with the 1B umpire every time a Bama hitter takes his bat off his shoulder

Looks like Spencer (our Friday night guy) won’t be pitching this week.

My guess on the starters..

Fri - Harrison (Sat guy)
Sat - Riojas (Sun guy)
Sun - Flores (Tue / Sun guy)

I could see Grubbs getting a start as well, but I really like him in his current role, so Idk..
