It’s kind of insane how hard kids throw these days. LSU has three freshmen that can hit 98

Iredale has the potential to be our best pure hitter since Benintendi. Two homers today and would have had two yesterday if the wind wasn't blowing 15 mph in. Dude's swing is so smooth.

Conference is going to be insane this season. Could easily see a 3-4 way tie for first.
Obviously lsu is playing a scrub but the velocity and movement from the new pitching staff has been superb and we still have 7 studs that haven’t been used

That’s not even taking into account Jordan Stephens in game 1 today who was throwing 99-101
Davis was also throwing 96-98
Davis was also throwing 96-98

didn’t pitch much last year
was pretty good 2 years ago
not dominant.. lots of weak contact
doesn’t miss many bats

we chase so many fricking pitches..
not very good plate discipline
we’ll prob feast on bad pitching and really struggle against good pitching ..
unless that gets cleaned up, that’s gonna make conference games tough to win

Sounds pretty similar to our pitcher tonight. He pitched for us last year coming off injury but was very inconsistent.
If he can be consistent this year then he can be an elite starter.
